At a mere 200 sq feet, our luxury tiny house makes the most of it’s space. You’ll find a nice size kitchen, washer/dryer combo, closet, queen bed, full size utilities, and a unique shower/Japanese soaking tub combo! Beautiful views of sunrises, hump mountain, banner elk, and beech mountain. The kitchen & living area features tall ceilings but *please note* the bathroom and closet ceiling height is shortened to about 6 ft to make room for the loft bedroom above. The space We call it the “Hobbit House” because of many things , but the front door is a big feature! It has the rounded design in the window, and is shorter than a standard door. The space is completely open concept. So when you walk in, you see the living room, kitchen, and loft bedroom. The main living area features high ceilings made almost completely of cedar. Through the hallway you can see the laundry area which has a washer/dryer combination unit as well as the bathroom. The bathroom features a shower/Japanese soaking tub combo, full sized toilet, and farmhouse style sink. These ceilings are shortened to about 6 ft to allow space for the loft bed. The loveseat has a pullout twin size bed. You have a stairway to the loft, which is more narrow (about 20 inches wide) and steep than normal stairs but not that difficult to climb. If you are a person who is tall or doesn’t like small spaces, this may not be the right choice for you! There is railing in the loft to help keep our guests safe. This home is not wheelchair/handicap accessible because of its small size. Guest access LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! We are close to both local ski resorts (24 minutes from sugar mountain / 28 minutes to beech mountain) and the wilderness run alpine coaster (22 minutes). We are 28 minutes from the Linn Cove Viaduct /Blue ridge parkway milepost 304.4 . We are also close to 3 major wineries/vineyards : Grandfather Mountain vineyard & winery (30 minutes), Banner Elk Winery and Villa (21 minutes), and Linville falls winery ( 21 minutes). We are just 10 minutes from the famous Elk River Falls. At our tiny house, we have free parking. We do recommend parking at the bottom of the driveway (there is a designated parking area ) and walking up ( 2-3 minute walk) if there is snow on the driveway, but if you have a four-wheel drive you can try to make it at your own disclosure.
