The worn timber door jamb has seen generations of farmers. Quite remarkable really, always humbling. *digital detox, there is a TV but please note as we are on rural satellite NBN streaming is sketchy, but free to air is fine. We have a good library of DVDs for some old school fun. We do have WiFi, and a desk should you need to do some work. We also have an ever expanding library of board games, now stored in the main house, plus yard games and of course, the pool. GARDEN Our cottage garden is stocked with a number of herbs which you are welcome to use during your stay. KIDS Whilst we are family friendly we haven't "child-proofed" the cottage, so please be aware that this little old cottage will have lots of corners and edges and things that might trip up a toddler used to a more modern home. Our family lived in this cottage for a year while we renovated the main house, and our kids survived just fine. Please take care, especially, around the fireplace and on the farm in general. PETS We have pets on the farm, and the cottage isn't fenced off so the animals could wander over. Our dogs are very friendly, although still protective of their farm and family, and the cats generally don't go near guests, they are pretty shy. If you are scared of or allergic to animals then sadly this might not be the listing for you. Bringing a pet? Please add your pet to the guest list and advise us. There is a cleaning fee for pets. We have dog bowls, treats, leads and towels, we assume you will bring your animals' fave bed or ruggy to sleep on. Please be aware that on the farm we have livestock, and there are plenty of wild animals here: birds, hares, possums, foxes and kangaroos, some doggos might find it sensory overload, in addition to the excitement of having our dogs to play with. HORSES? coming for an event? contact us to discuss stabling, we have room for your float, stable facilities and a paddock for you. (extra fee) Contact us via enquiry to discuss longer stays. Guest access Guests have access to the Shepherd's Cottage, which is located 100m from the main house. There is a farm manager living on-site at all times. We have a large swimming pool adjoining the main house (shared facility), that guests may use, as well as an old tennis court and a large front garden with tree swings. See map in listing.
