Come throw a line in the water from the dock or jump in your boat and go fishing even in the winter, ice fishing is popular. Just across the lake is Lindstrom, a vibrant small town that revels in it's community events and busy Main Street. A short drive and you're hiking in a state park or viewing fall colors in the beautiful St. Croix River Valley. All along the way, all year long, there are towns and shops, activities and attractions. Come enjoy the lake. You are Welcome! The space The lake house is a cozy 2 bedroom with a light and open feel. The views from the kitchen, living room and main bedroom make you feel like you are directly over the water. There are 2 Smart TVs (1 in the living room and 1 in the main bedroom) as well as board games and puzzles that are good for bad weather days. Otherwise enjoy the deck and the firepit which both sit just feet from the lake. Whether you do your cooking from the kitchen, the small propane grill on the deck or the firepit, you will have a great northerly view of the lake and the town of Lindstrom (you can see the Swedish Kettle water tower) across the water. Guest access The home is privately located near the end of a dead end street with cornfields to the south and the lake house and South Lindstrom Lake to the north. There is a public boat launch a couple hundred yards away on the other side of the channel between South Lindstrom and Chisago Lakes. It is about a 10 minute drive back to the lake house from the boat launch. There is a private dock for use with the cabin. So please bring your boat. Other things to note Ice-fishing gear available to use during your stay by request this season! The lake house is centrally located with fishing, swimming, boating and kayaking (2 kayaks and a paddle boat provided complimentary for use) right outside the door. In winter there is ice fishing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing and snowmobiling also right outside the door. With a short drive (5- 20 minutes) there is golfing, hiking and biking (in State Parks and State Trails), horseback riding, downhill skiing, Franconia Sculpture Garden, antiquing, outlet mall shopping, wine tasting and many restaurants and pubs. A little farther (20- 60 minutes) and there are casinos, horse racing, sporting events (Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, Lynx, Wild and United), Mall of America and all that the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul) have to offer.
