The space This is a "storefront house" built in the early 1830s, sitting adjacent to a sidewalk as opposed to a typical residential setback from the street. Designed for a business to be conducted on the first floor and the owner to live on the second floor. When you turn off the street, you are on part of the original cobblestone and brick driveway. At the back of the property is the concrete slab that the original carriage house sat on. Inside you see some of the original concrete floor and pine wood flooring. A mix of antiques and other decorations greet you when you enter and as you walk up the stairs to the second floor. Original pine wood flooring was used when the house was renovated circa 2007. You see original wall studs complete with old nails plus ceiling joists salvaged during the renovation process. Guest access This is a two-bedroom house with the main living area on the second floor. While you are technically reserving the entire house because no one else can be there during your stay, you only have access to the entry foyer, bathroom and laundry on the first floor, plus the entire second floor. You will not have access to the second bedroom, living and dining areas on the first floor. Additional laundry, soaps, shampoos and cleaning supplies are located in the closet in the first floor bathroom across from the washer and dryer.
