NOTE: For summer 2025, we rent Saturday to Saturday w/a 7 night minimum stay requirement from June until September. Wake as the sun rises over the islands on the horizon, three miles across the Mussel Ridge Channel. Fall asleep to sounds of water lapping against the beach. Kayak from the beach; have a cold drink & kick back at the picnic table, & crack open local Weskeag oysters, after a day exploring. The space The home itself has four bedrooms, which sleep seven. Additionally, the "trap house," which was once used for the repair of lobster traps, but is now used as the owners writing and art studio, can very comfortably sleep an additional two. The record-breaking storm of January 2024 wiped out the 15'x75' dock that had been on the property for decades, allowing access to a float for tying up boats, kayaks. Alas, all gone. The trap house had been at the shore-end of the dock, and after washing up on the beach that same day, then sat on the beach for four months, awaiting a crane to hoist it high and dry. Now, the trap house is back in action, and even more comfortable. The Mission Oak rocker that is great for reading, was salvaged, and reupholstered (the 100-year old leather needed updating, anyway), and the Army cot has been replaced with a VERY comfortable, custom-made bed that will sleep one or two, depending on if it is opened or not. There's a fire-pit next to the picnic table, and a 30-second walk to the private beach, that's muddy at low tide.
