Nestled on 4 acres in the spectacular Clove Valley, LaGrangeville, NY, sits our 1820 Gingerbread Colonial home, which combines modern conveniences with country charm. Explore the grandeur of the Hudson Valley, named one of the top 100 destinations in the world, visit scenic Tymor Park, Beacon, the HV rail trail, Walkway Over the Hudson, Vanderbilt, Locust Grove and Mills mansions, or relax by our inground pool on our scenic grounds. Our home has 3 family areas, 5 bedrooms, and chef's kitchen. The space Located on 4 acres in the Hudson Valley, named by Time as one of the top 100 destinations in the world, our 1820 gingerbread colonial greets you with a pillared circular driveway and a variety of mature trees and flowers. Each season here has so much to offer! There is WIFI in the house provided by Optimum with a speed up to 500 Mbps. Work areas with desks are located in the den and three of the bedrooms. A color laser printer is available. On the first floor, enjoy our large family room with two seating areas, fireplace, pellet stove, and 55 inch streaming/cable TV. There is a formal dining room with fireplace, and seating for 10-12 people. A den is adjacent to the dining room. A half bath and laundry room is located on this floor. There is a large center hall with staircase to second floor. An additional second floor staircase is located by the family room. Our modern chef's kitchen includes 2 ovens, a warming drawer, induction cooktop, double door refrigerator freezer, beverage refrigerator and microwave. There is seating for four at the bar counter area. The kitchen opens to an adjacent space with couch, dining table for 6, a wood stove and 32 inch streaming TV. The upstairs includes a large ensuite queen master bedroom with cathedral ceiling, a fireplace, and nook seating for two. A custom built bathroom with walk-in shower and separate two person tub completes the master suite. Four other bedrooms, 1 with queen, 2 doubles, and one with a set of bunks complete the sleeping areas. There is an additional full bath. The upstairs hallway has a sunny nook with two chairs. There is a twin size roll away bed available, along with a futon. In addition we have a sixth bedroom which is a nursery including a crib, changing table and pac n play. Our beautiful parklike grounds include an inground pool, surrounded by a deck with lounge chairs and dining table . The pool fence is equipped with a child guard gate. An additional deck off the back of the house offers a gas grill and picnic table. There is custom made stone pathway to the pool, with additional stone walls on the property. One of the hidden gems of the Hudson Valley, Tymor Park, is located across the road from our house, offering 13 hiking tails, tennis courts, a pond and waterfall, an equestrian center, picnic areas, and a sledding hill among other attractions. Our home is in a convenient location for exploration. Millbrook and Pawling are 15 minutes away. Beacon, Hyde Park, FDR's home, the Hudson River Mansions are all an approximately 25 minute drive. Hiking trails abound with access areas to the Appalachian Trail 5 minutes away. Mt. Beacon, Breakneck, and other Hudson River trails are a 25-30 minute drive. Numerous access points for the HV Rail trail are a 15-20 minute drive This picturesque biking/walking/running trail runs from Brewster to New Paltz, crossing the Hudson River at the Walkway over the Hudson. At New Paltz one can continue to travel to the reservoirs and mountains on the Catskills. Golf courses, including The Links at UnionVale, Beekman Country Club and James Baird State Park are all with a 10 minute radius of our house. Ski areas including Thunder Ridge (a 15 minute drive), Butternut, Jiminy Peak, Hunter, Wyndham and Bellayre which are all day trips from our location. Many wineries are in the area - Millbrook Winery is 20 minutes away. Included extras are crib, pack and play, children books and toys and a variety of board games are puzzles. We fell in love with this home because of its setting in the Clove Valley and its proximity to the amazing Tymor Park and Forest, and to numerous hiking trails including the AT, CatRock and Dover Stone Church. Over the years we have completed numerous improvements and renovations to our home, and as our children are now grown, we wold like to share this unique property with others! Guest access Vacation rental which includes the entire house and grounds including inground pool, and 4 parklike acres. There is plenty of free parking. A highlight of the home's location is the direct access to Tymor Park, an unknown gem of the Hudson Valley.
