Relax, swim, boat, kayak and enjoy time with your family at beautiful Great Pond Lake. This home is located steps from Great Pond and has 3 lovely decks from which to enjoy the sunset. Great Pond is located only an hour North of Portland in Belgrade Maine. Belgrade Lakes Golf Club is one of the top rated courses in Maine and is a public course. There is easy access to multiple hiking trails. There are also many winter activities - snow shoeing, cross country skiing and ice skating! The space Private lakeside cottage right on Great Pond. Sleeps 8. Private dock with plenty of water activities. Kayaks and paddle boards provided for your enjoyment. The yard slopes down to the lake and the private dock where you can enjoy your coffee and watch eagles, heron and loons. Swim right off the deep water dock and launch kayaks and paddle boards. If you rent a motor boat, a mooring ball is provided. The western exposure welcome spectacular sunsets which you can view from the dock or one of the decks. Located close to Belgrade and Waterville (Colby College side of the lake) it is an ideal gathering space or families and friends with many activities available in the area. There is a boat launch in Belgrade if you want to bring your own boat. For outside gatherings, there are multiple decks and a terraced lawn leading to the water with tables for dining under the shade of our trees and a firepit for roasting marshmallows. For cooking we are fully stocked with dishes and utensils. We have a standard coffee maker and a Nespresso vertuo. We have a single oven, electric stove top, microwave and dishwasher. You can also cook outside on our gas grill. The kitchen, dining room and living room are all open floor plan so you can enjoy family time with amazing lake views. The kitchen and living room open directly on the deck with access to the lawn and the lake. For relaxation and amenities we have a comfortable living room and dining room with water views. Stackable washer and drier, WIFI in every room, books, games and more. From comfortable couch and love seats you can enjoy streaming on the 56" HDTV. We have WIFI but no cable. The lake provides a place to disconnect from technology and you can relax with friends and family while enjoying the gorgeous views. Bring your own fishing gear to fish directly from our private dock. (you will need a license) Four large bedrooms each has a queen bed and lake views. There is also a summer bonus room over the garage with bunk beds - a perfect hideaway for kids! The master bedroom is on the 3rd floor with access to a private deck - the perfect for morning coffee or a sunset view. This room has a full bathroom plus a walk in closet. The other 3 bedrooms are on the bottom floor, each one has a lake view and access to the outside deck. Two of the bedrooms share a full hall bathroom with a shower stall, sink and private toilet. The 3rd bedroom downstairs has an ensuite full bathroom. The main floor and master bedroom have air conditioning. Linens - Bedsheets, bath towels and hand towels are provided with the rental contract. This is a wonderful house for children of all ages, but please be aware that access to the water and the dock is not gated. We do have wonderful neighbors on both sides, so please be respectful. Behind the house there is access to private trails for hiking. During the winter, you can snow shoe on these trails. In the winter the lake freezes and many enjoy ice skating on the lake, snowmobiling and cross country skiing. We are a 20 minute drive from downtown Belgrade, which has some unique shops and eateries; and 20 minutes from Belgrade Lakes Golf Course (which is a public course). We are 25 minutes from Waterville, which boasts many restaurants, grocery stores and is home to Colby College. We are 30 minutes to Augusta which also has grocery stores and other shopping. We are 1 hour and 15 minutes north of Portland, an hour from Freeport (home of LL Bean and many shopping outlets). Day trips to Acadia or Camden are fun excursions. This is a great location for a couples getaway, a friends reunion or quality time with your family. This is truly a tranquil oasis that invites you to leave your stress at the door and enjoy nature. Guest access You have the entire house with a keypad entry. The road is a private road and one of the few paved roads down to the lake. The neighborhood association plows the road for winter access. Other things to note There is an attached one car garage for your use. Across the street there is a parking area for several cars. We do have a dog who visits when we do - so please be aware if you have a dog allergy. Access to the water is not gated. Main floor and master bedroom has AC. The bonus room over the garage is not heated -- so likely not comfortable for use in the winter. Our neighborhood has open yards, open water and dock access. Be aware for children and pets. Please respect our yard boundaries and neighbor's privacy.
