This Delaware historical landmark is a restored 1790s farmhouse on one-and-one-half acres on 115-acre private Collins Pond in southwestern Sussex County. The tranquil, wooded, rural setting, includes English gardens designed and maintained by the owner-master gardener. Also convenient to state and national parks, historical towns, tax-free shopping and dining establishments, yet not "far from the madding crowds" of eastern beach communities in Lewes, Rehoboth, Dewey , Bethany, and Fenwick. The space The room facing Collins Pond and shade gardens, is bright and cheerful, with a private bath and large closet. Wifi access, TV with streaming capabilities, dedicated work space, and a kitchenette alcove with a microwave, a coffee pot, and refrigerator with freezer are included. Continental breakfast is offered. The queen-size bed is comfortable for two people; the couch makes into a full bed. Guest access The room has its own exterior door and private bath. There is easy traveling access from Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland via Route 50 to 404 East and Routes 13 and 113 South on the Delmarva Peninsula from Wilmington, Delaware and north from Virginia. Check in at the kitchen entrance on Route 404/18 west of Georgetown. After check-in, proceed to private parking on the Route 404/18 side through the double gates.
