Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. This rental is ideal for someone traveling for work or wanting to explore Detroits burgeoning scene using the recommendation of two local chefs. Guests have access to their private upstairs bedroom, shared office, and shared bathroom. Guests also have access to the downstairs living space and spacious kitchen. Two chefs live in the house so our pantry is stocked. We often cook a family meal that you’d be welcome to join us at. The space We recently rescued this home and remodeled it! A brand new kitchen, brand new bath, new hardwood and all new furnishings make it feel fresh. The bedroom for rent we keep as a guest bedroom for friends and family. The queen bed is quite comfortable and the bedding is new with the home. Guest access We have street and driveway parking as well as secured parking in the back yard if you’ll be planning to leave your car here for an extended stay. We ask that you don’t do computer work in the kitchen (it’s the most used space) and that when you’re wanting to watch TV you do so in the TV in your room. During your stay We work long hours so the only days we are home for the middle part of the day are Mondays and Tuesdays. Our roommate lives in the bedroom and office upstairs. We have a desk in the main floor study for anyone looking to work from home. We are fine giving you space or making you dinner - we will yield to your interaction preferences and give you all the space you need! Other things to note We have a booking that allows dogs. That may mean that guests and our dogs bark as you and other guests come and go. We also ask that you alert us to your check in so we can introduce you to the pets when you arrive. We also have a young indoor/outdoor cat named Taco. Our roommate has a sweet beagle named Lily - she likes to sneak out so please be sure to shut the door and not let her outside without watching her. She’s sly! They are all allowed on whatever furniture they can get on. If you have allergies, best to book elsewhere. If you enjoy pets, they’re great companions - mostly quiet, well behaved, and amusing when they choose to be.
