The space A spacious eighteenth century character home in the beautiful hamlet of Allaleigh with over four acres of grounds and surrounded by beautiful Devon countryside yet only a ten minute drive from Dartmouth. The gardens are truly magnificent, incorporating a beautiful walled garden, two shallow streams, a bluebell wood, wild flower banks and walks that not only give a vista of the garden but also of the stunning valley the house is located in. A 20 minute walk down the path from the back of the garden leads to the superb pubs and restaurants of nearby Tuckenhay. You are welcomed at the property via a very grand gravelled driveway that leads directly to the front door with enough parking for 3 or 4 cars. The property is surrounded by the most magnificent gardens and patio area equipped with gas bbq and garden furniture that enjoys views across the valley and beyond. The house opens up into a main hallway with typically period styled terracotta tiling. The ground floor comprises of: - Spare room/kids play room with a futon if required (advise when booking) - A nice sized dining room and separate lounge area that both lead out onto a fabulous sun room with bi-fold doors opening up onto the patio itself. - The kitchen is well equipped and suitable for a large gathering, dining is split between the kitchen table and that in the dining room. There are 2 ovens, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine and tumble dryer. - Downstairs bathroom with shower. Upstairs there are 5 large bedrooms, 2 of which are en-suite with showers, and a main family bathroom with bath. One of the bedroom comprises of two sets of bunk beds (4 singles). This is a wonderful property for gathering the family together and allowing the children to roam in the grounds while the elders watch from above on the patio. Breakfast on the terrace or in the sunroom and evening bbq out on the patio, Higher Venice is certainly worth a visit. Other things to note The main TV in the lounge is a smart TV meaning you can login to Netflix etc using your own account details but please remember to log out! Please Note: Wifi is typical rural Devon and not as fast as the city.
