Cozy”rustic European” flat located in the beautiful downtown district of Santa Marta. This well-appointed flat is on the 5th level of an amazing 5 story Republican style building. Centrally located, the beach, International Marina, fantastic restaurants, shopping and the very popular Parque de los Novios-where you will find the best nightlife the city has to offer- are all just a very short walk away. My flat is perfectly-sized for a couple, young family, or group of friends. The space Evan’s flat which has been thoughtfully remodeled, furnished and decorated, showcases an open area space with high ceilings, vertical gardens and beautiful Republican era pompeya flooring throughout. The blue-tooth ambient lighting and comfortable furnishings using recycled wood along with both retro and modern twists serve to bring the old and new together in a way that captures the vibrant cultural essence of the downtown area itself. Kitchen- The kitchen, with it’s cherry red retro style refrigerator, is fully equipped with dining & cooking utensils, stove, oven, water dispenser, toaster, coffee maker, vitamix blender and nutribullet. Kitchen essentials and gourmet coffee provided. Plan your day at the kitchen table or enjoy your coffee on the balcony while viewing the ocean. Living Room- Relax in the cozy living room space on the comfortable sofa or the leather B-25 bomber style chair. The unique modern belt-driven fan circulates a relaxing breeze while the open space allows you to chat and socialize when preparing snacks or dinner. The sofa pulls out into a comfortable second bed, if needed. Bedroom- In the bedroom you’ll find a comfortable queen sized platform bed made of Brazilian peroba rosa wood. Enjoy the Bose surround-sound system on the flat screen cable TV. A sturdy computer desk with an overhead lamp and reclinable chair provides a great spot to search the web or work on a project. When it’s time to call it a night, take a stretch out on the bedroom balcony, view the cathedral lights and draw the blinds. Accompanied by the lush vertical garden in the space, you’re sure to wake refreshed. Bathroom- This one of a kind bathroom is striking. The rustic wood vanity is topped by a Pacific giant sea shell sink. Another vertical garden compliments the European high style toilet while the raised ceiling concrete shower, featuring bright blue floor tiles, overhead plants and an exposed tube rain shower head will make it feel as if you are in a rain-forest. Essential toiletries and towels provided. Laundry area - A tower style washer/dryer is available for use along with a farm apron sink to rinse off your clothing after a day at the beach. Laundry detergent provided. Guest access The building has 24 hour security and 4 swimming pools are available. 2 are located in the lobby area and 2 on the 6th floor terrace, where you can enjoy wonderful views of the city. Other things to note Evan’s flat has several large green spaces - in order to ensure the health and happiness of our green friends, maintenance is required. My gardener waters the plants on Tuesdays and Saturdays. It takes about 20 minutes and we will coordinate a convenient time with our guests to make sure that it is not invasive.
