The space Stourcliffe Retreat is accessed through its own private front door where stairs lead into the beautifully renovated first floor apartment. The open plan kitchen/lounge/dining room is a real feature of the accommodation with its high ceilings and bold blue kitchen units with quality fitted appliances, thick quartz worktops and breakfast bar as its centre piece. There is also off road parking and a private rear garden with brick BBQ and seating (note garden cannot be accessed directly from the apartment but is accessed via secure gate to side of property). Bedroom 1 is a large room with ensuite shower room. Bedroom 2 now offers the flexibility to be set up as a kingsize bed or 2 twin beds (please state preference on booking). A travel cot can be provided and added to either bedroom. A location providing convenience and ease for holiday makers and business users alike. Walk to the end of the road and access the miles of sandy beach via zig zag pathway down to promenade. A short walk in the other direction and you’re in the heart of the beautiful and vibrant Southbourne High Street with independent shops, brewpubs, cafes, and restaurants. Parking – off road parking directly in front of the front door is available for one car. Additional free parking is available on a first come basis on the roadside. Guest access Southbourne Is a relaxed but still bustling upmarket suburb just East of Bournemouth, 5 minutes' drive to Christchurch and 15 minutes from the New Forest. Southbourne's primary attraction is its sandy Blue Flag beach, which provides a quiet retreat along the coast from bustling Bournemouth, while Hengistbury Head offers walks out to Mudeford sandbank exploring protected heath, wooded footpaths, seashore and harbour. Southbourne is an amazing place to both live and holiday, quieter than neighbouring Bournemouth yet sharing the same expanse of sandy beach and offering its own high street ‘ Southbourne Grove’ with an array of independent shops, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. As Southbourne has so much to offer you may feel you don’t need to go into Bournemouth itself but if you do there is a regular 24hr bus service that goes to Bournemouth ( and Christchurch in the other direction) with the bus stop being just a 2 minute walk away. Hengistbury Head Nature Reserve, with stunning views over Christchurch harbour, Mudeford and Isle of Wight is just a 5min drive along the coast road. Bournemouth’s stunning coastline is full of action all year round as it hosts fantastic events and festivals. For many the highlight is the annual Bournemouth Air Festival, the biggest event of its kind in the world. Don’t forget to hop over to Brownsea Island, a wonderful nature reserve owned by the National Trust. Other National Trust locations include Corfe Castle, Kingston Lacey and Studland Bay with its views of Old Harry Rocks. The ancient New Forest, created as the hunting ground of William the Conqueror, is ideal for the cyclist, walker or horse rider. Ponies, donkeys and cattle all roam freely through the Forest’s picturesque villages, like Burley and Brockenhurst.
