The Robbins Nest Offering A Tranquil Interlude
From design to execution the owners have created a space that is bright, clean, trendy and warm. The vaulted ceiling and sky light create an illusion of space in this 700 sq ft home. Attention to detail can be seen throughout, with slow close drawers and doors. Each room displays unique beauty, as detail in furnishings and accessories pop. The town is quaint, the people charming, and the history fascinating. We hope that you enjoy our nest, as much as we have enjoyed creating it for you! The space The Robbins Nest is best suited for business professionals, couples or a writer in need of solitude with 2 desks. (LR & MBR). We apologize in advance, as the home is not suited for children with painted floors that scratch easily and designer breakables. Our desire is to provide a wonderful, peaceful get away that provides well thought out amenities. If there is anything that we’ve forgotten please let us know. The front porch on a hot day, allows for drinking iced tea and people watching as many walk by, ride bikes and drive golf carts through town! If you enjoy more privacy you’ll love our new outdoor backyard space. Upper deck allows for enjoying morning coffee/breakfast at the bistro table. The lower deck provides two seating areas. Enjoy the fire pit on cool evenings! The kitchen has full amenities. There is a stocked spice drawer for the gourmet that might be visiting. Light breakfast/snack foods are provided. The living/dining room is cozy! Although there is a pull out couch in the living room, we remind guests that the home is very small. We apologize in advance, but we cannot be flexible if asked to accommodate more than four guests. The strain on the home is too great. The full sized stackable washer/dryer is a bonus, with laundry soap provided. If you forgot your blow dryer, toothbrush or any other basic personal hygiene product, you will probably find it in one of the cabinets. WE WOULD LIKE TO ASK ALL GUESTS TO READ THIS & ASSIST US IN MAINTAINING OUR BEAUTIFUL SPACE FOR OTHERS TO ENJOY! To be able to provide this space at an affordable rate we request that you remember that an Airbnb is not a hotel, but a personal home. Your assistance in taking care of the property helps everyone! When removing make up, using temporary hair dye, or getting spaghetti sauce (anything that stains) on fabrics please use the laundry facilities immediately. Soiled/stained towels, dish rags, etc. must be thrown away. There is stain remover in the laundry area that can also be used on the couch or rug if something is spilled. These costs are reflected in rising Airbnb stays, not only in our home, but other Airbnb's. Guests responsibility when vacating property: wet towels can be placed in the shower. Sheets can be stripped and placed in laundry basket in the MBR. Trash receptacle is on the side of the home. Garbage can be bagged and taken to the bin to reduce odors for incoming guests. If heavy cooking is taking place please use the stove fan to eliminate odors. Please clean pots and pans. This helps to reduce housekeeping fees. This home has one large closet in the master bedroom where suitcases fit nicely. Additionally, there is one dresser and additional storage under the queen bed. The guest bedroom is small, but charming. You will find a suitcase rack next to the window. Outside your backyard gate you can see 12 irrigated, raised beds with many delectable plantings next door to the Airbnb. (My home). I love sharing seasonal produce! Please enjoy your stay and let us know if there is anything we can assist you with! Guest access Guests have full access to the property while they stay with us! The lockbox is attached to the hand rail on the right coming up the two steps. For safety issues the combination is changed frequently. We will send instructions before your arrival with the combination. Please park on the gravel parking pad just installed 5.2024. Please do not park on street and block the mailbox. Thanks so much! The main Homestead sits at the corner of Cypress and Academy Street. The main home is yellow with a white awning. The AirBnB is the small bungalow next door. The color is slightly lighter and has a Robin egg blue front door. Other things to note Wendell was once a rural tobacco farming community. Much of its history has been preserved. You will see this throughout the town as you walk up and down the streets. The locals will share unique, funny and amazing stories, if you have time to listen. Please visit the Wendell Chamber of Commerce to learn more about us or visit Wendell‘s Facebook page or go to Wendell Parks and recreation website. We have many festivals that take place throughout the year. They are always a lot of fun. Gina Grey is our mayor. She has brought much growth to the community, without losing the charm. You may see her ride by on her golf cart!
