Across the street from the Delaware River! Walk to Main Street of Milford NJ!
Brand New Queen Bed! 1400 sq. foot home with front porch, side yard, trees and bluffs in the backyard; the Delaware River is across the street with small views from the porch; short walk into the quaint town of Milford where there is a micro-brewery/restaurant, antique shops, and Grocery market/liquor store; perfect for biking, walking, kayaking and tubing; The home was an old stagecoach stop but has been completely updated and immaculately decorated with antiques. Hi-Speed Internet! Roku TV The space This home was built in 1814. The small building in the back we think was the 'summer kitchen'. it was a stagecoach stop at some point. You will see that the river is just across the street. If you cross the bridge into Pennsylvania just down the street about a half-mile, there is boat access right there. This area is popular with boaters, canoes, kayaks, and tubers in the summer; If you walk into town, the state's first microbrewery is a bar/ restaurant called the Ship Inn/Descendants Brewery. There is also a Grocery market that has pretty much everything including a huge selection of wines, craft beers and liquor. This is all just a half mile down the street, yet our home sits on the outskirts so it feels like it in the country! There are a few other restaurants such as El Charro Del Rio and Pipolos Pizza. Also, please note that we have a TV with a HDMI connection (to hook a computer up if you have movies on your computer), and a DVD player. We do not have Cable but there is WIFI for streaming or working off your laptop and a Roku that you can use. Guest access The whole home is accessible but there is nothing in the attic or basement (except the dryer) that would be of interest. The small garage is not accessible. Please park in front of the garage or just to the right of it (on the crushed rock). also, the small building on the outside, the summer kitchen, is not accessible as it's just used for storage. Other things to note Have fun. The narrow road that follows the river just outside the front door is a favorite with road bikes and motorcyclists. There is an old inn at Rieglesville just across the river and about 5 miles north--it has live music and good food (Riegelsville Inn). Otherwise you can just walk into Milford and find a pizza place, micro-brewery, market with beer and liquor, and a few antique shops. Follow the river south enjoying the scenery as you stop in Frenchtown and Lambertville; two more bucolic towns that are host to more restaurants and shops.
