Welcome to The Cottage! Nestled in N Tacoma directly at the back entrance to Point Defiance Park. Walking distance to the Zoo/Aquarium, Owens Beach and Ruston Waterfront which boasts a plethora of amenities. A 5-10min drive to highway 705, 16, and 5. The Cottage provides a fully equipped kitchen for your convenience. Enjoy a relaxing soak in the fully remodeled bathroom after a day of exploring. Private backyard for family fun. Working/school? Cozy study w/ wifi. Laundry room too! The space Our old Tacoma Cottage has been updated throughout the past few years, and is such a special place to us. We hope you love it just as much as we do! We ask that you read through all the amenities and description before booking! Open concept living space great for family and friend gatherings. The fireplace is NOT functional, it is an old traditional wood fireplace. Light filtering curtains in the living area, TV with streaming apps to enjoy a movie night on rainy evenings. Laundry room and side door located off of the hallway. Bedroom 1 and 2 located at the end of the hall, separated by the full bathroom. The study is also located at the end of the hall. The Cottage is located on a steep corner lot, please use caution as the front yard is not fenced in. The retaining wall and side yard fence belong to the neighbor, please ensure not to walk on this retaining wall and stay off of the neighbors property. Fully fenced backyard. Look through all pictures to see the homes layout. For any beach lovers, Owens Beach is located a mile away in Pt Defiance Park, walk, bike, or drive! Guest access Driveway located at the back of the house off of the back alley. Room for 2 cars. Street parking on side of home also available, room for 1 car in front of the house. *Please do not park in front of any neighboring homes, you will be asked to move your vehicle* If you have a bike, enjoy biking through Point Defiance Park and along Ruston waterfront. Other things to note While this home is listed for 4 guests, infants/kids welcome, please ensure to mention upon booking. (5 guests max including an infant). Baby bath, high chair, books, and toys located in hallway closet. Room darkening shades in bedrooms, light filtering curtains in living spaces. *Garage use is NOT included* *Yard Maintenance* Landscaping happens on the 2nd and 16th of the month. Landscaper arrives at 9am, sometimes a delay depending. Done by -12pm. Spring through fall. *Laundry room* Brand new washing machine. Dryer is older and sometimes the screen will glitch, or give a “dryer vent blocked” notice. Depending on your load size, you may need to run the dryer again. Bulkier large loads take two cycles. Please ensure to leave the washer door open between washes so it can air out. *Garbage* Garbage comes every other Monday, alternating with yard waste. We ask guest to please ensure to take your trash to the trash can during your visit. Trash can remains at the end of the driveway the week of pickup. *Kitchen* Dishwasher works great, pods are under the kitchen sink. Sink does have garbage disposal, but please don’t put anything and everything down it! Water from sink is good to drink, the water and ice on the fridge do not work and are disconnected.
