Our home is just down the hill from downtown Doylestown where numerous restaurants, bars, shopping, parks, and museums await. We are a 1/2 mile from the Doylestown Train Station to and from Philadelphia, and the Transbridge Bus Line ( from NYC). We have easy street parking in front of the house. A wonderful second floor loft bedroom with a king size tempurpedic bed, and shared bath await you. This room is great if you like interaction with the hosts that you stay with. We live onsite. The space A wonderful second floor loft bedroom with a king tempurpedic bed ( soft firmness), and shared full bath await you. The room is small and cozy and has all the amenities you might need. Lamps on the bedside tables have usb and usb-c charging capabilities. There is a 42 inch TV in the room with a DVD player, lots of DVD choices, and internet streaming that you can log into and play your shows from home. You will have access to the kitchen and frig, and the shared ( with the hosts) living room with a gas fireplace, leather sectional couch, and 65 inch TV. The house also features a two person cedar infared sauna, basement gym (use at own risk) and pool table. Outside there is a cast iron tub for ice baths (and a Wawa convenience store a block away with lots of ice bags), an outdoor shower, a 24x24 deck, and a hammock and swinging chair in the trees. Dedicated office space can be provided if needed. Just a two minute drive away you will find an abundance of good food, bars, museums, and a little longer drive, great hiking ( Ralph Stover State Park, Peace Valley, Ringing Rocks). Hosts are avid hikers and will invite you to join if they’re headed out during your stay. Two extra bedrooms ( one with twin bed and trundle and one with king bed), both used by the hosts’ kids 1/2 of the week can also be booked for an additional cost if needed during dates when the children are not in residence. These rooms will not be dedicated to guests and will have the kids items on the walls and in the closets. Guest access Guests will have access to the bedroom, second floor bath, kitchen, use of the stove and microwave, room in the frig with adequate notice, as well as access to the deck outside, and a parking space in front of the house if needed. Arrangements can be made to use the gym in the basement ( own risk)- with free weights, Pilates reformer, rebounder, stepper, spin bike) and the pool table. Also available with arrangement with host inside of sauna and outside shower. During your stay We almost always try to make ourselves available to interact with our guest with enough notice. We can also make ourselves scarce if needed, just let us know. We live onsite and only rent the room when we are in residence. Other things to note There is a Wawa gas station /convenience store and within 2 blocks walk, and a Starbucks .5 miles away. You can rent bikes locally in town. Washer and dryer can be used if needed. We have a small hypoallergenic dog who moonlights as an emotional support animal and is as soft as a sheepskin, so you need to be ok with that. We also have two teen boys that most likely will be at their dads during your stay, and thus we ask you provide us with some details about yourself and your stay so we can make sure its a good fit for both of us. The bath is shared (though only in the overnight), as we have the kids use ours when we have guests. We have shampoo/conditioner/lotion for your use, as well as clean towels, a hairdryer, and robes for use. French press coffee can be found in the kitchen, and we have an instant pot and air fryer for use if needed in addition to the stove, microwave and refrigerator.
