Chic and Cozy 2BD 1920's Cottage
Welcome to the Sugar Shack! My feel-good, bright, clean and cozy and 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom cottage nestled in the woods off a quiet street. Stylish, comfortable, inviting and perfect for a couple or small family. Enjoy the privacy and total comfort of a country setting and the ease of proximity The space The Sugar Shack is a stylish, inviting 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom 1920's clapboard cottage in Chappaqua, New York. On the first floor: a comfortable living room with many windows and a wood burning fireplace; the perfect place to unwind. Relax, read a book, watch a movie... The living room opens to the fully stocked, modern kitchen; everything you need to feel at home. Off the kitchen, a dining nook that looks out onto the garden. Downstairs you'll also find a full bathroom with a shower stall. Upstairs there are two bedrooms; the airy windowed main bedroom with a super comfy queen bed, a smaller bedroom with a twin bed and trundle. Also upstairs, a full bathroom with tub. A laundry machine and dryer can be found in the basement. In fair weather, enjoy a BBQ in the garden. The house is equipped with high speed internet. There’s Apple TV and Roku connected to the TV in the living room which you can use with your own streaming accounts. Many guests come to stay for a while. And when you stay for over a month, a discount kicks in over the weekly rate. When you stay at the Sugar Shack, you're at home! You have full access to the house and it's contents. I keep the closets and drawers empty for your comfort and I supply you with whatever you need to get started on your stay. Because I live in Paris for the most part, I am not always able to meet and greet my guests. I try to! I often do! But when I can't be there I have someone to meet you and to be of assistance to you should you require anything during your stay. Enjoy Chappaqua and the surrounding quaint towns. Take a stroll at nearby Stone Barns Center for Food And Agriculture and eat at the special Blue Hill at Stone Barns, ride or walk the many wooded trails, enjoy music at the gorgeous Caramoor Center for Music and Art or hop a Metro North Train and be in Midtown in under an hour. Town and the Chappaqua Train Station is a short, downhill walk from The Sugar Shack. It's always best to have a car in Westchester, however, you can easily stay without wheels as shopping and transportation is within reach. Before check in, I will send you useful information about the house and the surrounding area. You will be in the know! Finally... I love animals. But let’s talk about yours before booking to make sure it’s a good fit. Guest access When you rent the Sugar Shack, you're at home; you'll have access to the whole house and garden. Other things to note ** Please note that due to the Covid-19 crisis, cleaning fees are higher as I am employing an "essential service" that does hospital grade cleaning and decontamination. They charge me more than I am charging you. And rest assured, the cleaning will be done to the highest standards. As I maintain my home meticulously, it is possible that at some point I may need to schedule to have a maintenance or repair person come. I rarely if ever need to interfere with your stay, but your willingness to meet a maintenance or repair worker or future long-term guest will be greatly appreciated if the need arises.
