A modern, chic retreat for nature lovers Sterling Treehouse is a stunning custom-built modern cabin perfectly integrated with the surrounding forest. Sited on 40+ acres overlooking Sterling Valley, it was designed to bring the outside in while masterfully interacting with its native surroundings. The intention of this remote cabin is to bring families (or friends) together to enjoy the majesty of the area. The cabin has two large bedrooms with king beds and floor to ceiling windows, a bunk room that sleeps five, a great room with a table to seat 10, large screen TV, a Bang and Olufsen music system, and the deepest soaking tub you’ll ever find. The home is primarily furnished with handcrafted American made furniture and has bike storage, ski racks, and boot warmers to encourage families to get outside. To start or end the day, enjoy a two-level patio with a Stahl fire pit and insert for wood-fired grilling. Take in the spectacular views of the adjacent forest and Green Mountain ridge lines while you relax in nature. At your doorstep, you’ll find hiking, cross-country skiing, and mountain biking trails, a 19th-century cemetery, and old stone walls and foundations from the long-gone Sterling settlement. There is a snowshoe trail winding through the forest on the property, and within walking distance from the house you can access the Sterling Gorge (an amazing place to hike, ice climb, or just enjoy the waterfalls), the VAST trail, the Catamount Trail, and the Sterling Forest mountain bike trails. The cabin is a 15-minute drive from the village of Stowe and 25 minutes from the ski resort—take the back roads and skip the mountain traffic! *Top bunks are not suitable for adults.
