My place is close to the beach. You’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the neighborhood, the comfy bed, the outdoors space, location. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). I strongly suggest rental vacation insurance to protect your stay no elevators until beginning of July 2024 and no tennis or pickleball until end of feb or March 2024 The space location inside the resort of south seas in an elevator building in the beach villas Very tranquil location great biking • 15 magnificent miles of white sandy beaches and a treasure chest of shells • 74.4° annual average air temperature • 77.5° annual average water temperature • 7 days a week of trophy fishing • 20+ miles of tropical bike paths • 300 species of birds, 50 species of reptiles and amphibians, and more than 30 types of mammals live here • 1 ‘island masterpiece’ designed by Arthur Hills called The Sanctuary Golf Club PLEASE TAKE NOTE I will not refund or give a credit: I do not guarantee anything out of my control which includes but is not limited to: your airline flight, your transportation to South seas, restaurant closures, weather, functioning elevator or any other items out of my control. Guest access As all 8 of my personally owned beach villa listings state that I have on VRBO. everyone that rents on VRBO/airbnb or other rental sites has the same restrictions Water sport items can be procured by a local provider as well as cribs and baby items Golf Carts can be rented with a local provider YOU CAN USE THE FOLLOWING: 1. 3 condo pools NOT the pool at the end of the resort that is not near the beach to the North end of the property 2. 3 BBQ areas 3. All pool chairs, loungers and tables at the 3 condo pools since I own in all 3 associations Brand new chairs 4. Tennis pay for play just as you would at the resort as of this moment it is is being rebuilt so not available should be by end of 2023 5. All my beach items to include chairs, and some sand toys. 6. You may eat at so many off site restaurants (walkable and others by car) not sure why one would eat at south seas 7. You can rent bikes, golf carts and other items of interest with local providers that are less expensive than you would pay with the resort. The trolley is not accessible 8. Daily housekeeping can be arranged at an extra cost. You will pay much higher rates with the resort especially after the high fees plus you cannot guarantee an end unit like my three bedroom or any two bedroom loft units if you book with the resort. Make the second left after the guard house to enter the parking lot and turn right at the end when you see the building in front of you. It is on the left (North) end of the building on the third floor of the elevator (the unit occupies the top two floors). Take the elevator to the 3nd floor, exit right, and follow to you see the door marked 2238. To enter South Seas Plantation, you just need to go to the front gate of south seas and they will give you a parking pass by giving your last name unit was booked under and unit number Other things to note .All new smart TV's Cable TV in living room as well Internet: password: v2238+cap Beach Villa 2238 is located in the “2200” building in South Seas Plantation, Captiva Florida. Make the second left after the guard house to enter the parking lot until you see building 2200 top two floor unit end unit go up far side (north) of the building. To enter South Seas Plantation, you will just need to check in at the front gate give them your name and unit number. The code for the door will be sent as a text to your phone when the unit is ready for arrival. YOU CAN use the pool, the chairs at the pool, and the beach. HOWEVER you will need to bring beach towels from the room there are some provided as part of the rental and they are to be left in the unit upon departure YOU CAN go to all the businesses outside the gate, (Starbucks. And etc.) as well very close to the unit you will be staying in and well within walking distance. You WILL NOT be able to use any of the SSP amenities since you are not a SSP guest. You cannot ride the trolley, you cannot play on the golf course, you cannot use the gym, you cannot use their beach chairs or their beach towels. You cannot buy anything at the stores in the resort as they do not take money, only South Seas Room charges. The best restaurants are off the premises and many are just as close as eating at the resort since the resort is spread out. Trash bins are under the building to the extreme right when looking at the building from the parking lot—sort of go underneath the right hand set of stairs and you will see them. There is a barbeque at the pool that you are welcome to use, there is gas provided and there are two BBQ areas; the barbeque equipment in the closet in the kitchen. This is at the pool that you see right outside the screen patio. New patio furniture chairs and dining tables There are washer/dryers on the ground level, and you should bring LOTS of quarters for them! $2 per wash $2 per dry. Or use the app on your phone very easy to download and easy to use even tells you when your laundry is dry if you have the app or add more time from your phone. This is a CONDO unit so you will NOT have linen changed, or towels during your stay unless you ask for this service and to do so at an extra charge to you. Some laundry soap is provided in the “starter” set of all paper products, soaps, etc. on your check in. Bring quarters to use the washer and dryers and laundry soap Unless you pre-arranged additional services at a cost There is FREE wireless in the unit. The access code is: v2516+cap, AND it is written in the closet by the modem/wireless unit. There are extra pillows and blankets in the master closet, and you will see a sheet set for the sleeper sofa on the sleeper sofa usually left in the master bedroom closet or on the sofa itself. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, blender, utensils, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, dishwasher, There is a nice dispenser in the shower with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner PLEASE turn the AC off if you have the sliders open it is recommended you keep the air on and doors and windows closed during the very hot months. There is a mini vacuum, as well as mop, broom and pail to help keep the place clean if so desired since sand easily gets into the unit by tracking in on shoes. There is also Jerry’s on Periwinkle. There is a CVS just up from the Speedway station. Believe it or not, gas is CHEAP at the Speedway station too. It is for sure the best place to fill up. The Island Store on Captiva has some Groceries, beer wine, liquor, fresh produce, health and beauty aids, and suntan products. Dining Out and other stuff Our favorites are: The Green Flash--- The Green Flash sandwich for Lunch is great, the motzarella appetizer is hand made not the frozen nasty kind plus the marinara dipping sauce that comes with them is also very good. Also for lunch the crunchy grouper sandwich is very good. They also have the crunchy grouper for diner and it is delicious it comes with spinach and a potato. The bread that is served with dinner is also very good. The view is great. We like to sit at the bar, but table service is fine also. Island Pizza is great they have a cheese filled crust option which is very good. Mucky Duck great place on the beach walking distance for me or a bike Starbucks • Coffee • very close to the entrance of south seas you can walk here in the AM Bubble Room • Restaurants • 1 VERY eclectic. Good food HUGE deserts get one to share. Must see it once but it is VERY expensive a tourist trap but again must go once. Just down the road from SSP, pricey, but quite interesting worth one adventure. GET THE FRIED CHEESE APPITIZER and ANY desert!
