Previously hosted renowned artists - Joan Baez, Dirk Powell and Sarah Hunt The space We are situated 3 1/2 miles south of Breaux Bridge on two acres of ancestral land surrounded by Live Oaks, Magnolias, Pecan Trees, and beautiful Azalea Bushes in the spring. Our 1935 Cajun Style House is has a lovely wrap around porch. The house features a foyer, dining area, a full kitchen with microwave, toaster oven, refrigerator/freezer, and fruits, beverages, cereal for a continental breakfast. The St. Therese Room has a full size bed with a private antique bath with tub/shower. The St. Mary Room has a queen size bed, the Evangeline Room has a full size bed with adjoining antique tub/shower and a combination washer and dryer for your convenience. The living area has a CDplayer/radio, piano, a TV, and internet service. Guest access Our home is located on scenic Highway 3l close to Lake Martin where you can enjoy a great Swamp Tour. View the beauty of the wild life (blue herons, horned owls, white ibis, roseate spoonbills, and egrets along with plentiful alligators. Our quaint City of Breaux Bridge is rich in Cajun and Zydeco music, culture and cuisine. You can experience kayaking on the Bayou Teche or shop downtown antique, clock, dress, or flee markets. Breaux Bridge is known as the " La Capitale Mondiale de l'ecrevisse" or "the crawfish capital of the world." Breaux Bridge will host the 57th annual crawfish festival on the first weekend of May 2017. In St. Martin Parish we are blessed with the Atchafalaya Basin, the prairie, and the Bayou Teche area where visitors can tour our neighboring towns of Arnaudville, Butte La Rose, Catahoula, Parks, and St. Martinville, "The Home of the Acadians."
