The community is conveniently located about 80 miles or two hours west of NYC, making it easily accessible from New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, and just 1 hour and 40 minutes from Newark airport. Situated in the great mountain private gated community it offers the best of both worlds: you are so close to great amenities and still get a feel being in a private and remote area, in nature and by the streaming water. While you can see the houses not far on both sides you rarely see people, and they are usually very quiet as well. The House The house is clean, airy, and cozy. It's a basic mountain country vacation house, simple, perfectly imperfect, inviting, a bit on a quirky & fun side, with a semi-secluded and private feel. With relaxing last memories of the rapidly becoming history retro times it's somewhat still living in the good old sweet late 1970s-early 1980s. It has some of that nostalgic wave, with a hint of a recharging Boho-ish flavor plus a sprinkle of magic being in the woods. It has cathedral A-frame shillings with open wooden beams, a wood-burning fireplace, and a jacuzzi/whirlpool for two. The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The Master bedroom upstairs has a queen-size bed, tall ceilings, a jacuzzi/whirlpool tub for two, and a balcony that is facing the creek! Outside of the master bedroom is a loft with a large skylight. Perfect for stargazing and counting clouds! :) The first floor has two bedrooms with full-size beds and a full bath with a shower. The house also has three twin air beds and a twin floor mattress. The living room has a leather sofa sleeper full-size bed with a love-seat, a wood-burning fireplace, and the deck with the dining area with a view of the Saw Creek stream. The Property Outside you'll find gas and charcoal grills, a fire pit, a deck with table, chairs, and umbrella, a water deck with seating and sunbathing benches, and three benches along the creek by the water. The creek in the backyard is the actual Saw Creek. There also is a second miniature one in the front yard. Do you like to hear chorus of tree frogs singing? They may sing for you here. If you'd like to do some yoga by the water or in the house we have a few of yoga mats for you to use. You may also find useful our additional exercise equipment and tools that are available at the house. The Mood If you have a romantic side, come to stay at our cabin and enjoy being surrounded by nature, the calming sounds and views of the rolling water, the birds, crickets, far away wind chimes, occasional forest rain, whispers of winds and silence of snow flakes. Unwind in the bubbling Jacuzzi. At night gaze at the stars in deep mountain skies late at night or when in a non-light-up spot. Watch the various wildlife when it decides to visit. Curious deer, funny turkeys, various birds, and living beings are passing by at times. We have seen all sorts of wildlife here, even bears and a black mink. They are locals here and they don't bother human locals. Just don't bother them! We are proud to say we are dedicated to providing the most relaxing experience to our guests. The natural sounds of the creek, birds, and the forest are the part that creates the healing “forest bathing” experience right off your back porch. The inside setting is designed to match the vibe and guide you deeper into your inner-self reaches. The light-sound ambiance is carefully selected while easily customizable. If you like the preset settings enjoy their healing effect. If you prefer to adjust them simply use their switches. It's a perfect place for you if you are feeling tired, for healing yourself. If you need to pause, unlink and detach from the world, to recharge, to step back in time where it moves slower and there is plenty of it to take good care of yourself, or to JUST BE, this is exactly for you. It's the right choice for a long vacation or a weekend trip, to reconnect with yourself and nature, or for time together with your special ones. You will feel right at home here. Also the house has some artistic and various touches that are intended to entertain you and help to switch, relax and reset. This place is great for idealists, dreamers, and imaginative types :) Come to rest, to create, to play! _______ ***Important !!! (!) You can also plug in your streaming device or a laptop via HDMI port if you prefer. Q.: Do we need to bring linens and towels? A.: Linens are provided. You also may bring your own extras if you'd like. As for the towels, it will be a great help if you’ll bring your own bath and pool towels, but you don’t have to. If you prefer, just ask and we will provide it. Q.: Do we need to bring our own pots and pans? A.: No need to bring your own pots, pans, china, and cutlery. Please inquire about the details for that specific date. The payment is done via the Airbnb link. 2. Additional parking is available on a public parking lot nearby. Q: Can we rent if we are under 25? A: With some exceptions, we normally don’t rent to folks under 25.
