Get away from it all and enjoy the simplicity of a rustic cabin in a desert setting which mountain views! Our Green Cabin allows for all of this and more. This Cabin is 2 bedroom 1 bath that sleeps 6. The front bedroom has a Queen bed and the back, or porch, bedroom has a Queen and Trundle bed (with 2 Twins). There is also a comfortable living room with SmartTV and a full kitchen with electric stove. Over the years we have had many great memories and we hope you will make some of your own! The space The Green Cabin was built in the 1950’s and we have tried to keep it as original as possible. Upon entering the cabin you will see one bedroom, the main living room/TV room and a cabin style galley kitchen. The cabin has a full kitchen with pots, pans, toaster and microwave. The stove is electric and is a newer model. You will also find some essential cooking supplies, cooking spices, oil sugar, but we do not guarantee these will be there as every group is different and some prefer to clear out the pantry, while other like to add. The front bedroom has a Queen bed, a bedside table and a dresser. This bedroom also has its own AC/Heater. The rest of the cabin uses the AC in the main room to keep the cabin cool in Summer. There is also a standing fan for the back porch/second bedroom room. During the colder months the cabin is heated using the fireplace, or pot belly stove, in the middle of the living room. This not only warms the house efficiently, but also adds a nice ambiance. The back porch/second bedroom has a Queen bed and 2 Twin beds. The 2 twin beds are a trundle so you do not lose space in the back porch when you are not sleeping. The bathroom in this cabin is a little small, since it was built in the 1950’s, but it works very well. In addition, the faucet, light and water heater have all recently been upgraded. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire property except the pump houses and our shed. The neighborhood is all dirt roads, but pretty easy to traverse. You will need a car to get around town as this is a rural area and there is no public transportation by the property. Other things to note This is a pet friendly property, there is a pet fee of $65 per stay. Due to our pine tree forest sap is a concern. Should you decide to walk around and enjoy the property, please look at your shoes before entering the houses. Should you get sap on yourself or your pet an effective way to get it off is using olive oil. It is very rare, but on occasion the power can go out at this property. As this is a rural area sometimes the power company turns off the power for safety reasons or for updating their equipment. We do our best to keep guests updated on these situations, but we also ask for your understanding while we work through any issues if they come up. We ask that you do not put tents up on the property without asking beforehand. If you move any furniture during your stay, please put it back where you found it. If furniture has been moved and not put back, you may be charged a fee. There is a large BBQ area that is a shared space between our Green and Red Cabin. We ask that you be courteous to other guests and not leave a mess nor be to loud. Although close to town, this property is in a rural area so on occasion small bugs do get in the houses including spiders. We make a concerted effort to keep all critters out of the houses, by spraying and having each house checked before check in, but on occasion some critters make their way in. While this area is close to town, it is still a little rural, which means we do get the occasional wildlife. There have been sightings of coyotes and bears, so if you are moving around at night just be aware of your surroundings. I am shocked that I have to include this, but please do not damage any of our pine tree forest. Should damage be found please report immediately. If it is found that you have damaged one of our trees (example: hit, shot, peeled bark or an attempted cut or chop) you will be charged a minimum of $300 for the damage.
