Welcome to Town's End, a retreat for nature lovers! Named after my father, Townsend, this custom built, 6 bedroom, 3 bath home is at the end of a private drive with mountains on one side, fields on the other, and woods behind. Enjoy the tranquility of our 260 acre estate situated between the Green Mountain and White Mountain National Forests. Town’s End will provide you with vast, open spaces indoors and out, immersing you in a nature’s paradise. The space We offer : - Complimentary coffee and local honey plus basic cooking essentials (flour, salt, sugar, oil, spices, etc) - Wood Fire hot tub all year round - Pool table & croquet set - Skis, snowshoes, & sleds - High speed fiberoptic internet - Extra blankets, soft throws, sheets, pillows for all 6 bedrooms - Complimentary, high quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bath salts & toiletries - Solo Stove, wood provided - Large gas grill, propane is provided - Master bedroom in a private wing with king bed & en suite bathroom - Children’s room with toys, children’s library, pack n play, baby monitor, play tent, plushies, hooded towels - 4 more bedrooms, one located on 1st floor with queen bed - Piano with sheet music - Power generator so that you will never be without power if there is an outage - Outdoor dining & seating plus double hammock & 8 extra chairs located in garage if needed for use outside Town’s End is surrounded by 260 acres of untouched fields and woods. The house sits at the top of a hill at the very end of a private, well maintained dirt and gravel road (during the winter months we provide a free plowing & sanding service). There are a few neighbors but all you can hear from the property are birds and the owls calling to each other at night. We have a power generator that will kick in if there are ever any outages in Vermont, so guests can feel worry-free during their stay. You will enjoy the many comforts of this spacious house, custom built for our family as a summer retreat. South Asian art and furniture from my father’s travels contrast bright white walls and wooden beams. High speed fiberoptic internet is provided for your convenience. We provide almost everything you need for your stay. A large pool table has been added plus a family room filled with games. We even have a piano for your entertainment. Town’s End is ideal for family reunions. There are 6 bedrooms (plus a couch in the smaller living room which can convert to a bed) including the large and private master bedroom which is located in a separate wing of the house. The newest bedroom is located in the spacious 2nd office with a private entrance. Soft, luxurious throws, comforters, and extra pillows and bedding can be found in each bedroom. Every room looks out on to a different majestic view of pristine nature. Sipping coffee in our well - equipped kitchen while watching the sunrise over the mountains, you may spy a grouse, deer, or a family of wild turkeys meandering through our property. You can walk straight out our back door for a peaceful stroll around the rolling hills or on trails through the woods. During winter, you can cross country ski on our well-plowed property! The outdoor space is stunning and vast, with outdoor dining on the patio and seating near the garden. There is a Solo Stove where you can roast marshmallows while gazing at the bright stars at night. A new, large, stainless steel grill is ready for your use on our back patio. Town’s End is magical during our snowiest season and an incredible bargain for those looking to ski during the winter. Not far from ski resorts such as Saskadena Six (35 mins), Killington, & Pico Mountain (about an hour). You can also cross country ski right on our property! We also provide toboggans/ sleds, and 4 pairs of snowshoes in various sizes. * Please note: this is not a party house. No loud music, no trespassing neighbor’s property, no parties, 10 guests maximum unless pre-paid & approved for over the 10 person limit. Sorry, no cats allowed (dogs are ok). Guest access The entire house is accessible to guests. However, we ask that you do not enter the basement at this time as it is under renovation. Also, the loft in the children’s room is currently closed off due to renovations. Other things to note * During the months of December through April you must have AWD/4WD. * Please, no parties. No loud music, ever, at any time. Please respect our neighbors. Do not trespass their property. Speed limit is 10 mph on our private road. * About our most beloved family members: - Dogs must be vaccinated and on current flea/tick medication. We will charge a $700.00 fine if fleas are found in the house post your stay. - Up to two dogs are welcome, but please no other pets (no cats). - We welcome more than two with prior approval (please contact me to inquire) and fee. - We charge a flat fee of $60 per entire stay for up to two dogs. This is a one time fee. - We strongly advise that dogs be leashed unless professionally trained. If so, they must be supervised if let loose on the property. * Horse lovers, please contact me about options to ride or even board your horse at local stables.
