The Mac Shack is located on a 20 acre farm by a grove of MacIntosh trees. The cabin was built by homesteaders back in the early 1900's then was a pickers cabin for many years when the fields were full of Spartan trees. Today we are planting the fields with fruit trees once again and we completely renovated the inside of the cabin in 2018 and equipped it for a comfortable stay. We have great views overlooking Vernon and the lakes, minutes away, plus Silver Star Ski Resort is just up the hill. The space From the outside this is an old rustic looking cabin but inside it is completely renovated, the old hardwood fir floors are restored and all the appliances and fixtures are new. The space is open studio with a separate washroom. There is a small deck entering the cabin and wide open yard outside with bbq, table and chairs by the MacIntosh trees. In the summer a cool breeze blows through from Silver Star Mt around 8pm . Other things to note This is an active farm so we may be spraying the orchard (organic applications) or working on the tractor and ask guests not to approach the equipment. We have always cleaned well between visits and have now added a new level of disinfecting the house between each stay.
