30+ day stays only! This home is in a very Colombian neighborhood near El Poblado. On the building’s 5th floor, it's close enough to the ground to feel the ‘pueblito’ energy below. Lots of balcony space and access to a spacious rooftop terrace for splendid valley views. In Aug 2018, a wall and door were added to divide the first floor as a private 1 bdrm apartment with full kitchen, bathroom, living and dining room. This is what is offered in this listing plus access to the rooftop terrace. The space All terrain bike with rear rack available for rent for $10US/day with $100 deposit. Please advise in advance if interested to ensure the bike is ready and available for use. • Wifi speed = 1000 mbps down (30 mbps up), plenty fast enough for video conferencing • balconies/lots of outdoor space with plants • partially covered rooftop terrace with great 360º views • supermarkets, fruit/vegetable stand 1 block away, convenience store across the street and many more within blocks, butcher shop 1 block away; we typically get all of our groceries within the neighbourhood and avoid the supermarkets, though there are several supermarkets within 10 blocks • flourishing street of restaurants a 10-minute walk away [our favorite is Olivia's Pizzeria with excellent European style pizza and sangria at great prices], but there are many options to choose, from Colombian specialties to steak houses, Spanish tapas, Peruvian, and other niche restaurants to explore; there's even an Italian gelato shop that we love to go to on occasion - almost forgot to mention the best bakery [whole grain loaf varieties] in the entire valley is right here, too [Colombian panaderias tend to make the sickly sweet, very white variety of bread; we have yet to see rye bread available anywhere else] • 10-minute cab ride [$5] to the Zona Rosa of Poblado [Parque El Poblado, Parque Lleras] Parque Envigado is a 10-minute walk away. Guest access You will have access to the covered rooftop terrace (closed 11pm to 6am) and its wonderful views and everything shown in the listing photos. The host sometimes occupies the separate 2nd floor of the condo; this in no way interferes with your private first floor space or your access to the rooftop terrace. Wifi speed is 100 mbps, plenty fast enough for video conferencing. There isn't an elevator in the building. Please respect all other building residents at all times by maintaining a friendly demeanour and keeping noise levels low, etc. Within the building stairwell, sounds easily travel into all apartments. The biggest complaint I get from the superintendent is that the street level door slams shut when foreigners walk through. Smoking is possible on the balconies only. The rooftop terrace is not available between 11pm and 6am in order to keep noise levels down in case anyone in the separate 2nd floor space is trying to sleep.
