The space Unplug and relax in this beautifully furnished 1 bedroom with a den duplex apartment on a large 2 acre heavily wooded lot located just off the scenic bike route and on the northern edge of the Mink River Estuary, a 2,118 acre state natural area. We aren't located on the water but we are within walking distance! Garrett Bay Park is a short walk and a great place to launch your kayaks, swim, or catch the sunset. You will find all the comforts of home starting with the kitchen which is fully equipped with a full size fridge, electric stove/oven, dishwasher, electric griddle, ice trays, and a Ninja food processor/blender. I have some basic staples in the cupboard like sugar and a few spices. In the morning you can enjoy complimentary coffee and tea on the deck amidst the tree tops. In addition to the master bedroom, there is a den with a queen size bed. Since the property is served by a private onsite waste water system (septic system) we ask that the number of guests in this unit doesn't exceed 3. If you have a larger group please consider renting both units. If the weather during your stay isn't conducive to outside activities we have you covered! You will find a 55 inch smart TV with a blue ray DVD player (bring your own favorite movies!) in the living room. Bring your passwords and log in information for your Netflix, HULU, and Amazon Prime w/HBO accounts, the apps are loaded on the TV but we currently do not have the local channels. If board games are more your thing we have a few of those in the living room closet or under the TV. Cribbage is on the table in the living room. We also have a few puzzles if you are up for a real challenge. Extra towels are located on a shelf in the bathroom. You will find a washer and dryer in the master bedroom closet along with an iron and an ironing board. Please help yourself to the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and laundry soap. A window air conditioning unit is installed in the bedroom during the summer months (June, July, and August) for your comfort. We also have a box fan in the bedroom closet for additional air movement. Guest access You will enter the 2 unit duplex building through the front door and take the stairs to the upper unit. The lower unit is also available for rent and is listed on the Airbnb website as "Under the Tree Top Getaway", so the front door is a shared entryway/foyer. Both apartment entryway doors are keyless touchpads so you can self check in at your convenience. You will be sent the code after your reservation is confirmed. You will have exclusive use of the entire upper apartment and adjoining Balcony/deck complete with an outdoor table and chairs. There is a fire pit, charcoal grill, and a patio table with 4 chairs available for all guests to use outside in the front yard. Please note these outdoor items are not usable during the winter months due to snow cover. Other things to note We encourage you to arrive at your leisure, the apartment door has a keyless door knob so you can self check in. Feel free to call or text with any questions. During your stay please care for the apartment as if it were your own, and please be considerate of other guests that may be renting the apartment below you. During the winter months we have the driveways snowblowed. This is usually done after the town has plowed Cedar Dell Lane but the maintenance man may shovel or snow blow before the plow comes through. You may need to move your vehicles for the driveway to be cleared. We will let you know when you need to do that. If you need to leave before the driveway is plowed we do provide shovels which are located next to the building on the driveway side. If you have any trouble getting out of the driveway please let me know and I can have the maintenance man stop over to help you. We try to keep the walkways and the driveway cleared of snow and ice but wisconsin winter weather can be harsh, especially so close to the lake. Also, when things start to thaw in the spring the walkway and driveway can be intermittently icey and/or muddy. We thank you in advance for being patient with all involved!
