Renovated Lake house between Camden and Belfast Maine! Welcome to Tilden Cottage where you have it all in a Maine Vacation. The cottage is situated down a private road in the tranquility and seclusion of Tilden Pond. It is also centrally located for day trips to all the mid-coast harbor towns and fishing villages. The space Inside The Cottage Renovated open floor plan with a completely new kitchen with warm maple countertops. You can relax in front of the floor to ceiling stone fireplace and morning coffee is a must on the enormous (30 ft) screened in porch. There are three bedrooms (King, Queen, and a bunk room with 4 twin beds) and 2 full bathrooms as well as a separate family room with a TV and lots of games. We have put pine wood floors throughout the house. You can enjoy a meal or games on the porch or in the dining area (both accommodate seating eight). The Pond (100 ft from the house) Tilden Pond is actually a 400 acre lake with no public boat access. Even though 10 horse power boats are allowed on the pond it is a rare sight leaving only the quiet hush of kayaks, canoes, sailboats and the like. Guest access The Surrounding Tilden Cottage is just 15 minutes from lovely Belfast and 25 minutes to Camden “The Jewel of Maine”. These as well as many other close quaint New England villages on the waterfront offer shopping, dining, local fairs, festivals, and farmers markets and spectacular views of the Atlantic. You can even enjoyed a ferry ride out to an island and picnic next to a light house! If you can tear yourself away from the peace and quiet of the pond, the location is ideal for exploring the whole mid-coast region. There are tons of outdoor activities: hiking in Camden Hills State Park (15 mins), is a treasure, with spectacular views of the Penobscot Bay, Acadia National Park (1 hour 15 min), biking on local scenic roads, sailing and exploring Penobscot Bay.
