Anderson Farmhouse, a Langley original, built by Great Grandpa Anderson in 1907. A complete restoration, back to its original charm & character. This historic home sits on 20+ acres of fields, gardens, & surrounded by forest. The farm also provides land for Langley Community Gardens, chickens, cows, & a field of blooming dahlia's & farm flowers through summer. Step back in time & enjoy this peaceful mini farm experience. We want to continue to improve our community while preserving history. The space The farmhouse is 100+ years old & our family treasure. Our heart was put into a detailed & beautiful restoration of the home. It has provided love & peace for our family since 1907. Items in the home are mostly all original to the farmhouse. Feel free to explore the farm, enjoy the nature and wildlife. Some of the character in the farmhouse come from the original floors, old doors, and original ship lap walls. Due to the age, there are unique qualities & character in the wood and hardware that is just part of the charm of this old farmhouse. Guest access The entire home & property is for guests to explore, the entire 20+ acres is for exploring and walks in the woods. The Langley Community Gardens behind the home are private gardens for the people that care for them. Feel free to walk through the Community Gardens, and enjoy the diversity in each of the private plots. The corner garden is a private garden, please admire from the fence. Other things to note *High speed WIFI, and a smart TV with apps. *Board games, outdoor games (located in BBQ area), puzzles, books, and cards available. *There are 3 queen size beds available, it is set up for 3 bedrooms. Because this is a historic home with all the character that goes along with it, you need to walk through the larger bedroom upstairs to get to one of the upstairs bedrooms, so one of the bedrooms is only partially private. Great for kids & friends, probably not best for guests needing privacy in the main bedroom upstairs. There are two bedrooms upstairs, and one bedroom downstairs. * There is only one small bathroom in the farmhouse on the first floor. There is the original clawfoot tub, with a shower installed. *We feed our animals daily from the barn, and give you privacy around the farmhouse. *Depending on the season, the community gardeners will be tending to their garden plot, they will park in the "garden parking" area on the farm, and give our guests privacy around the farmhouse. *Only guests are allowed on property, unless prior arrangements are approved. *Please make sure that you thoroughly read about the home and property. Only consider staying here if you honor and respect the legacy of this historic home, farm and gardens. This is a 100+ year old farm, and has characteristics that go along with it's age. The old characteristics that come with an old farm.... it is our hope you would find them charming and part of its history.
