Our special cottage is located within the UNESCO Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve acknowledged worldwide for its natural beauty. Situated on the world famous Clarence Drive & overlooking the Whale coast the cottage is centrally located within the hamlet of sunny seas generally acknowledged as being the jewel in the crown of Betty's Bay. Ideal for a family holiday or those simply yearning for a period of peace tranquility & quality time with friends This is a secret paradise! Come and discover. The space Tranquility, love and childhood memories are nurtured and forged here "between the Mountains and the Sea" Our quirky cottage is simply but comfortably furnished in a quite unique and idyllic setting. Built only a couple of years ago the cottage presents a double storey accommodation with 4 double bedrooms plus an indoor and outdoor braai set in 2500 sq metres of grounds. We visited it once, loved it so much that we bought it! Whilst most of our gardens have been carefully allowed to grow naturally as a fybos garden we do have some more formal areas consisting of terraced flower beds and lawns. The ocean views from the raised terraces are sensational and with the mountains rising from the rear this really is paradise. Indigenous wildlife abound and roam free in the area from tortoises to penguins, Porcupines to baboons and of course the rarely seen but abundant Cape Leopard, Betty's has it all. There are several pristine beaches, Lakes and Lagoons within a 4 km radius of the cottage for safe bathing and games. There are so many things to do in the area its difficult to know where to start but whether you're in to Golf, Horse riding, hiking, rock climbing, star gazing, nature, wildlife, beach time or simply relaxation, this is the place for you! We love this place and hope you come to love it too. We have listed some of the many activities in the guide book which is attached to this listing and a hard copy is available in the cottage for your use. We will however mention that with the absence of street lights, Betty's Bay makes star gazing from the terraces quite astonishing and a definite must do. Bring a telescope.... You won't regret it.
