The space Our home is literally right on the beach. You exit our door directly onto the beach. I walk several miles daily and most days encounter only 2 or 3 people. On weekends there tend to be a few more. The beach is never crowded. Guest access Guests have full use of the public areas of the house and the pool. The storage area and other bedrooms are not public areas. During your stay We live onsite and are always available to assist you with anything you might require. Other things to note In the Yucatan, crime levels are very low. Merida has been touted as the second safest city in North America. People are very friendly and speak Spanish, few speak English. Chuburná and the neighboring town, Chelem, have many small fish restaurants where eating is cheap. There are well-stocked supermarkets in Progreso and Mérida where you can find anything you might need. Progreso is about 15 minutes from the house and Mérida is about 30 minutes by car. In the center of Chelem, a very short walk from the house, you can do some basic shopping for fresh food. For your convenience, we recommend renting a car or using the taxi service. If you require, we can provide you with the contact of several reliable people at very reasonable prices who offer this service. We can help arrange transportation to any of the numerous tourist attractions, restaurants or nightclubs. If you would like any special food or beverage items we can arrange to have them here, at their actual cost, upon arrival. Refrigerator space available. You have kitchen privileges and it is accepted you will leave the kitchen in the same condition as it was found. Kayaks are available. Private masseuse available.
