A beautiful Pleasant Beach setting, just steps to the beach, lively shops and restaurants. Welcome to the “Gold Coast” of Bainbridge Island. Our home is located right on the water just steps to beach. Relax and enjoy the sun-drenched deck, kayaks, Stand Up Paddle-boards, fire pits and 4,000 square foot home. NOTE: This property is ONLY available for reservations of 30 days or longer. The space A stunning Pleasant Beach setting, just steps to the sandy beach, lively shops and restaurants with three ensuite bedrooms. Welcome to the “Gold Coast” of Bainbridge Island. Our home is west-facing and just literally steps to the sandy Puget Sound beach. Summer in Seattle is generally quite appealing, with long days of sunshine, warm temperatures and little or no rain. The house is located right on the water with the beach literally at your feet. In contrast to the east side of Bainbridge, the west side of the Island is drenched in abundant summertime sunshine and is sheltered from the prevailing afternoon winds. Sit on our deck with a drink in hand and marvel at the tranquility, the beauty and the ever-changing waterfront scenery as boats and wildlife pass by. Go for a beach walk, where you might spot deer on the beach, eagles diving for fish, harbor seals and even sea lions. Swim, fish, wade or snorkel in the shallow waters. Use our two kayaks to explore the coastline - or, try our Stand Up Paddleboards (SUPs) . Enjoy a dessert wine by the evening campfire of our beach-side fire pit watching the stars twinkling overhead and the moonbeams dancing off the water. Of course you can always enjoy a water-side barbecue or relax anytime on our large deck. If you want to get out of the house, we are located just a short stroll next to the lively and quaint Lynwood Center. At Lynwood Center you will find five restaurants, one of the Islands most popular pubs with local micro-brews on tap, a movie theater, a frozen yogurt shop, a wine bar featuring many European wines, a massage/spa facility, a hairstylist, a bakery with daily fresh selections, a grocery store and other shopping experiences. Enjoy cooking in our gourmet kitchen and eating outside (weather permitting), or not. Everything from a morning latte, fresh bread and rolls, full breakfast, lunch, happy hour and dinner is a just a short stroll away. The house was constructed in 2011 and is built just steps from the water. At night you can lay awake in bed in any of the three waterside bedrooms with the fully-screened windows open and listen to the waves lapping the beach. Or, if it’s a chilly night, snuggle up to the fireplace in the master bedroom. The double eight foot entry French doors open to a Carrara marble foyer with a striking view all the way to the water. The open floor plan carries you past the formal dining room, the gourmet kitchen and the breakfast/lunch nook into the living room with its soaring, 18-foot, boxed beam ceiling and 18-foot slate stone fireplace. Extensive amounts of hardwood, including Brazilian cherry, plus marble and slate cover the floors. The main floor also includes a utility room which contains a washer and dryer and granite-covered counter tops. Completing the downstairs main floor is one guest bedroom with a queen-size bed, its own double French door access to the deck and its own ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet. The bathroom includes a dual shower-head shower, floor-to-ceiling marble and granite shower walls and a double sink, marble vanity. The kitchen is modern, with granite counter tops a kitchen island and all-stainless steel appliances. Furnished appliances include juice squeezer, Nespresso machine, Keurig coffee maker, double-oven, microwave, gas cook top, dishwasher, instant-hot water dispenser, garbage disposal and reverse osmosis drinking water system. The house also has central air conditioning and central heat. While it is a rare day in Seattle when A/C is needed, it is very nice to have for the two or three weeks of hot weather that we can get every summer! All ensuite bathrooms have heated tile floors and a hot water re-circulation loop that delivers instant hot water to every faucet. There is a 56” television in the living room. The house has mesh Wi-Fi throughout. The upstairs floor contains the master bedroom furnished with a king-size bed, ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet. The master bedroom has double French doors that open to its own spacious balcony overlooking the water and a private gas fireplace. The master bathroom is finished in marble and includes a two-person shower and jetted tub. The third bedroom, located on the second floor, is at the opposite end of the house from the master bedroom for maximal privacy. This bedroom comes with a queen-size bed and its own ensuite bathroom with dual vanities, a walk-in closet and double French door access to its own private balcony. All bathrooms in the house are finished in marble, granite and/or limestone. Completing the upper floor is the piano room, another utility room with a second washer and dryer and a workout room furnished with a Soloflex, dumbbells and an elliptical machine. Our guide book details the many restaurants, wineries, the local brewery and distillery, hikes, parks, shops and other fun and interesting things to do on Bainbridge and nearby. The house is in a residential beach-side community about 7 minutes by car to the ferry terminal. As Bainbridge Island is an actual island, all trips into Seattle are by ferry, which is a 35 minute ride. The ferries accommodate vehicles and walk-on passengers, so a car can also be driven onto the ferry. Washington State operates the largest ferry system in the US. Traveling by ferry is a unique experience and a great way to see the surroundings from the water. When leaving the Island to go to Seattle, you arrive at the ferry terminal in the heart of Seattle's waterfront, so it is convenient to ride the ferry to Seattle and walk to the shops, restaurants, sports stadiums, theaters, etc. Please note that the house is offered strictly as a vacation rental and not a party or event house. If you are visiting Bainbridge Island and you looking for a beautiful, relaxing, tranquil waterfront setting, this is the place for you. Also, as noted above, the house has three bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (one with king bed and two with queen beds, so the house comfortably accommodates three couples. If you are visiting Bainbridge Island for a wedding, our home is conveniently across the street from the Manor House and a five minute drive to IslandWood, which are popular for wedding venues. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house except for locked closets and offices. You may sit on the deck or water-side patio to enjoy the sun, or walk the beach at low tide, enjoy kayaks, Stand Up Paddle-boards and the two firepits. Other things to note Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable.
