The house has been completely renovated recently. It stands by the sea and enjoys excellent exposure to the south, so it is full of light. The blue ceramics and white furniture enhance its Mediterranean and marine characteristics, making it very pleasant and welcoming. The space From home - one of the oldest in the Borgo Marinaro dell 'Stazzone - you can enjoy a spectacular view of the sea and the port of Sciacca: just sit on the stool to follow the flow of boats and fishing boats from the docks and observe how the sea changes during the day. Other things to note Sciacca is an excellent starting point to visit some of the most beautiful and interesting places in Sicily. Proceeding eastwards towards Agrigento, sea lovers will find long beaches of sand and pebbles, often still wild and not too crowded even in August. The first place worth noting along the way is, in my opinion, Piana Grande, followed by Borgo Bonsignore, with the nature reserve Foce del Fiume Platani; beyond the mouth of the river and the imposing Capo Bianco, the long beach of Eraclea Minoa, with the archaeological area where the remains of the city founded in the sixth century BC by the Selinuntini are visible, and then Bovo Marina, the oriented nature reserve of Torre Salsa, the white and charming Scala dei Turchi. Continuing east, about 60 km from Sciacca, you can visit the Valley of the Temples and, once in the area, take a look at the Farm Cultural Park of Favara, an open-air art gallery that winds through alleys and courtyards of the country and that, especially in summer, hosts artistic and cultural events. If you want to change the area, you can head west and visit the archaeological sites of Selinunte and Segesta, the first near the sea and the second in the hinterland of Trapani, and the quarries of Cusa, characterized by benches of calcarenite from which the material for the Selinunte constructions was extracted. And then Trapani and Marsala, with the beautiful salt pans and the remains of Mozia, the ancient Phoenician city that stood on the island of San Pantaleo, in the Marsala Pond. Walking along the coast, you can admire the spectacle of the Egadi islands arranged on the edge of the horizon. After Erice, the beautiful medieval village perched on top of a mountain and overlooking the sea, you can quickly reach the Gulf of Castellammare, a large area where you can visit the magnificent natural reserve of the Gypsy, Scopello, Castellammare del Golfo and San Vito lo Capo. A hundred kilometers north of Sciacca, you can not miss visiting Palermo, a city whose charm increases year after year and which offers, in general, interesting artistic and cultural events.
