The space The house is special as it is part of the history of Long Island City with much of the original detail. In 1870's Long Island Railroad owned much of the local properties and built the row of houses (of which mine is one) for families of workers. There is a active park behind my house and a sweet tree-filled park for small children and families in front of my house. The house is 3 floors with the bedrooms and bathroom on the top floor. Kitchen and living/dining area at street level. The lower floor has access to the garden where I grown fresh herbs, vegetables and more. The walls of my home are covered with original artwork from family, neighbors and friends. I work nearby and often from home. I founded and run an award-winning performing arts incubator for experimentation in dance and theater, so I am around quite a bit. You are welcome to come see the space or a show. Seeing a show at The Chocolate Factory will be a NYC experience that is hard to get elsewhere. Guest access Your room is your room and I will not enter without an invitation except in the case of an emergency. You have access to the kitchen and living/dining room and I hope you enjoy it. Depending on the length of your stay you are welcome to enjoy the yard. The entire house has hi-speed wifi. Your bedroom looks over the garden at the back of the house. The room is approximately 14 feet wide by 10 feet deep. You can sit by the window in the front of the house looking out to a charming tree filled tot park where many children play year-round while local seniors sit shaded in the summer. During your stay If there was an option to say... It is completely up to my guests - socialize or not, I would have selected that one. I am social and have people over or may take you around the neighborhood (time permitting) - unless what you want is quiet. Up to you! I sometimes have family or friends stay over so there may be other people in the house.
