Dusty Mile Ranch was built in the 1950's, resting on 5 acres of beautiful Mojave desert. Chill in the cowboy tub under the acacia tree, eat dinner on the patio at sunset, or take a scenic shower or bath in the Desert landscape. * 2 bed, 1 bath, Full kitchen * 30 minutes to Joshua Tree National Park, 20 minutes from Pappy & Harriets & Red Dog Saloon, 7 minutes from Integratron, Giant Rock Meeting Room * Linen bedding * Outdoor shower, hammock, cowboy tub, & scenic bathtub * Indoor wood furnace The space A very open floor plan that allows the entrance, dining room, kitchen, and living room to all flow into one another, concrete floors throughout. Our bedrooms have organic cotton, memory foam beds by loom n leaf as they sit in shallow 100% handmade wood bed frames. The bedding is made from quality linen or percale as we focused on colors that allow our guests to relax. Both rooms have dressers and options to hang up your clothes. You'll really enjoy hanging out in the living room with an option to light up the wood burning furnace and bring those outdoor elements inside. The house has WiFi but it's important to note that we decided on no TV. We did focus on sound, the Klipsch speakers are amazing and bluetooth capable, along with a record player if you're feeling more vintage. The living room is stocked with vintage games like Monopoly, Uno, dominoes, dice, and a few puzzles. Our full sized kitchen has a large gas stove, full size refrigerator, and butcher block countertops. Also equipped to make great coffee, pour over, americanos, or expresso. We give you options to eat on the patio, but also have a beautiful dining room w/ another hand made table with a slider that opens up to the front porch. We have 1 full size bathroom, equipped w/ a shower surrounded by zellige tile walls. We were attracted towards the deeper desert, focusing on being a bit more isolated in the landscape. You'll find that we aren't super close to the "downtown" of Yucca or Joshua tree, and the park. With that said, we are still only 20 minutes from Yucca & Pioneertown, 23 from JT, and 30 min from the National Park. From our home there's a wonderful back country road that can be driven to JT & the park that makes the time fly by, (all paved). Our road itself, dusty mile, is just that so be prepared to drive on the actual desert when close to the house. We promise you'll love the deeper remote desert after your stay! Guest access Our guests have full access to our property, all 5 acres. The only restricted area or place is the laundry shack. Other things to note We of course please ask all of our guests to respect our home like it's their own. We put a lot into this house so you have the best experience as possible, please take care of it during your stay. The front gate has a combination lock to enter the property. We also have a front door nest lock and ADT security that all guests will have access to. We want everyone to feel safe. All trash should be put into trash bags when being thrown away outside in the cans. Always be very cautious when lighting fire in furnace. ** Please make sure to keep objects and fingers off of the top of the furnace & outdoor fire pit as it can get really hot when burning wood inside them.*** Also make sure you have everything you need before staying at the house, especially any groceries. Much easier to grab on your way in. The house is a bit further out so you can appreciate the landscape, sunsets, and stars a bit more. At the same time, it's still no more than 10 - 30 minutes away from most of the places or things you'd consider doing so not a problem either way. Registration number CESTRP-2022-00807
