Welcome to Relaxing Oaks…a little house in the woods! The home of white squirrels and country life, we are located at the bottom of White Oak Mountain. Only 5 minutes from I-26 and Columbus NC, yet we are tucked away in nature. If you’re driving through, visiting family or vacationing in the foothills of the mountains, we would love to see you here with us! The space This spacious 1 Bedroom -1 Bath apartment is resting on a slope surrounded by trees on the back side. You will take the steps up the side to the entry, step inside and relax! For the ones that need the convenience of small town combined with the serene environment of rural living, this is your place to stay. We are about 3 minutes from the interstate but nestled into quiet country style life. Have an EV? We got a level 2 charger for you, so stop in for a relaxing time and charge up while you sleep. NOTE: the charger is meant ONLY for paying guests. Not for your friends or family. If anyone stops in to charge that has not paid to stay, we will require a fee from you, the paying guest. Regardless how much charging has happened. Whether you are passing through and need a place to stay for the night or want to stay for a week, We hope you will find this place a resting place or a somewhere that you can set aside the worries of life for just a bit and relax! For the more adventurous, we are only a short 10 - 15 minute drive to the top of white Oak Mountain where you will have panoramic views. We are also only 13-15 minutes from FENCE and TIEC. 25 minutes to Spartanburg, Hendersonville. 45 to Asheville, Greenville. 40 to GSP and ASH airports. Guest access Outside offers a place for fire pit if the weather allows for that. Bring your hammock and string it up between trees if you wish. We have nature outside the back door! Other things to note PET FEE: bring your pets (maximum 2 pets only) for a fee. We ask that you include your pet/s when you submit your reservation. You are responsible for any damages are replacements that may happen during your stay. This includes but is not limited to new carpets, new bedding, repairs to floors and walls, extensive cleaning services and more. If you leave the house during your stay we ask that you take the pet/s with you or kennel them inside the house. They are not allowed free roam while you are gone. Thank you! We have complimentary fresh baked cookies waiting for you upon your arrival as well as some breakfast foods, milk and juice. The water from the spigot is well water, not city water. If you prefer, there is also bottled water in the refrigerator. Feel free to help yourself! Be aware that there is a long flight of outside stairs to the entrance of the apartment. The steps are lit in the dark and there is a fence bordering one side of the steps. Elderly will need to take caution and it is not handicap accessible. We have a boxer dog on the property. She is behind our main residence and cannot go past the side of the house so she won’t be over in the area of the apartment. She will probably bark when she sees you. Please refrain from petting her and keep your children and pets away from her. Keep in mind that we are located in nature. There will be a possibility that you may encounter stink bugs, beetles, etc. We will make sure any insects are taken care of before your arrival but be aware that you may encounter a few during your stay.
