Escape from the hustle and bustle at Mill House Cottage. Originally built 1898-1911, loved & cared for ever since. Originally built for one of the Erwin Mills managers. After World War II, textile mills began to consolidate or move overseas, and the Erwin Mill in Cooleemee was impacted. In the 1950s, Erwin originally sold controlling interest of their mills to Abney Mills of South Carolina. 1962, control of the mills changed hands to Burlington Industries. Cooleemee is rich in history. The space This home was built in 1898-1911. Most of the original aspects have been preserved. A lot of love and time has been given to this home. We hope our visitors enjoy this historic property. Guest access Access to all of the home, patio and yard. Other things to note The driveway reaches up to an easement, please park beside the house, leaving the easement accessible to the neighbor. There are sign posts to help.
