The space This exquisite 7-bedroom house, featuring central air conditioning, large 8-foot windows, high 10-foot ceilings, modern bathrooms, and a gourmet chef's kitchen, is set on 60 acres, and epitomizes modern country comfort. Ground Floor: The ground floor, designed for entertaining large groups, also has a wheel chair accessible bedroom and bathroom. - Fully-equipped chef's kitchen has quartz countertops, multiple ovens and stove-tops and plenty of pots/pans/cooking utensils. - Dining room has a 12-foot dining table which seats 18 people easily, with plates, platters, bowls, cutlery, and glassware for 24 guests. - The elegantly decorated living room has two leather sofas, comfortable chairs, USM consoles, a large TV, and games for entertainment, all perfect for spending cold winter days or summer evenings with loved ones. - Two bathrooms (one full, one half) on the first floor. - Wheel-chair accessible bedroom and bathroom, with a walk in shower on the first floor. Second Floor: On the second floor there are six bedrooms, two full baths, and a half bath. Third Floor: The third floor boasts an enormous lounge area with sectional couches, a daybed with a pull-out trundle, a large television, games, yoga mats, and bookshelves stocked with books for children and adults. Basement: The basement is equipped with a washer and dryer. Front porch: The spacious wraparound porch has a 10-foot dining table and sitting areas with a couch, chairs, a swing chair, and benches, all with views of the expansive 100-foot front and side lawns. Heaven for summer days with friends and family! Deck: Out back there is a 15-foot deck with lounge chairs and an outdoor ping pong table. The deck has a ramp for wheelchair access to the first floor. The deck overlooks an outdoor grill for bar-b-ques and a fire pit area, ideal for evening bonfires, s'mores, and watching the stars at night. Local Religious Establishments: In the summer there are Orthodox synagogues within 1/2 mile walking distance, including a Satmar bungalow colony less than half a mile away and a new Orthodox community with a shul. There is also a synagogue in town, approximately 1.5 miles away. The town of Woodburn, which is less than five miles away, features several large kosher supermarkets and stores. Just half a mile down the road lies our family farm, home to sheep, a goat, donkeys, horses, and chickens that guests are welcome to feed. Adjacent to our home is a field brimming with blueberry bushes; come July, visitors are invited to pick these wild, succulent berries to their heart's content. Our property includes over 300 acres of woods crisscrossed by multiple hiking trails. The local country roads are ideal for cycling, albeit hilly, which also provides excellent sledding opportunities in winter. The Shawangunk Mountains, renowned for their hiking trails, are just a half-hour drive away. Close by, at a mere half-mile from the house, is an outdoor community pool located in the town park, and many streams in the area are stocked with trout for fishing in the spring (a New York State fishing license is required, available online). Nearby mountain lakes, such as Morningside Lake in Fallsburg and Starlight Marina in Monticello, offer boat rentals and additional amenities like community pools and platoon boats. The area is also rich in public golf courses. For those seeking a break from the great outdoors, Legoland, the Kartrite Water Park (New York's largest indoor water park), and the Resorts World Casino are all just a half-hour drive away. Woodbury Commons, featuring hundreds of outlet stores, is a 45-minute journey. Adventure seekers can enjoy river rafting, canoeing, tubing, or kayaking on the Delaware River with Lander's River Trips. The town of Mountaindale, two miles down the road, is becoming a trendy spot with live music on weekends, an outdoor bar and restaurant by the creek, what our teenagers claim to be the best pizza in upstate New York, a new restaurant, a small grocery store, a thrift store, a yoga studio, art studios, and a monthly outdoor market. Bethel Woods is just a 45-minute drive away. Holding Events at the Farmhouse: The house and grounds are also perfect for a large party or a wedding. The enormous side yard easily fits a tent and the 40' living/dining room is perfect for cocktails. Events and guests are not permitted without prior permission.
