Unplug and relax in this beautifully furnished 2 bedroom duplex apartment on a large 2 acre wooded lot located just off the scenic bike route and on the northern edge of the Mink River Estuary, a 2,118 acre state natural area. We aren't located on the water but we are within walking distance! Garrett Bay Park is a short walk and a great place to launch your kayaks, swim, or catch the sunset. For winter guests we are located just off the snowmobile trails. The space You will find all the comforts of home starting with the kitchen which is fully equipped with a full size fridge, electric stove/oven, and a dishwasher. I have some basic staples in the cupboard like sugar and a few spices. In the morning you can enjoy complimentary coffee and tea on the deck amidst the trees. In addition to the two bedrooms there is a comfortable sofa sectional in the living room, and an electric fireplace in the living room for chilly winter evenings. If the weather during your stay isn't conducive to outside activities we have you covered! You will find a 65 inch Samsung smart TV loaded with Samsung's free TVplus and a DVD player (bring your own favorite movies!) in the living room. I have Netflix, HULU, and Amazon Prime apps loaded on the TV but you will need to have your account information to log in and use them. We currently do not have the local channels. If board games are more your thing we have a few of those in the hallway closet. We also have a few puzzles if you are up for a real challenge. Extra towels are located on a shelf in the bathroom. You will find an iron and an ironing board in the king bedroom closet. Please help yourself to the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. A window unit air conditioner will be installed in the bedroom with the king size bed during the summer months (June, July, and Aug.) for your comfort. You will also find a box fan in the closet for additional air movement. Please feel free to open and close windows or move the box fan to any room you like. Guest access You will enter the 2 unit duplex apartment building through the front door and the "Under the Tree Top Getaway" apartment door is immediately to your right. Both entryway doors to each apartment are locked using a keyless door knob (the code will be sent to you after your reservation has been confirmed) and you will have exclusive use of the entire apartment. You will also have exclusive use of the deck attached to each unit and the deck furniture during your stay. There is a fire pit, charcoal grill, and patio table with 4 chairs available for your use outside in the front yard. In the event that both units are rented during your stay these items will be available on a first come first served basis or for guests to share if they are so inclined. Please note that these outdoor items are not usable during the winter months due to snow cover. Other things to note During the winter months we have the driveways snowblowed. This will be done after the town has plowed Cedar Dell Lane. You may need to move your vehicles for the driveway to be cleared. We will let you know when you need to do that. If you need to leave before the driveway is snowblowed/plowed we do provide shovels which are located next to the building on the driveway side. We try to keep the walkway and the driveway cleared but weather in wisconsin can be unpredictable. Please let me know if you have any trouble getting out of the driveway, I can have our maintenance man stop over to help you. We thank you in advance for being patient with all involved!
