The space Attached to the back of the property's main house, this luxurious guest house is completely secluded, with a private entrance and parking. You enter through the updated and fully equipped kitchenette which includes a microwave, half fridge, dishwasher and stove to meet your cooking needs. The living room includes a convertible couch that is perfect for children or an additional guest, as well as a dining table for two. This large space can be closed off from the kitchen, making it private and quiet from the rest of the cottage. Walk up one flight of stairs to enjoy a beautifully appointed desk space on the French windowed landing of the second floor. The second floor bedroom (with blackout curtains to ensure the best night's sleep!) features a queen size bed, as we all a trundle bed that comfortably sleeps two additional guests if needed during your stay. The full renovated bathroom is also located on the second floor and offers beautiful views of the countryside. This historic property was originally developed in 1788 as a tavern/Inn. The property was a center for regional travel, mail, and voting during America’s early days. Distinguished figures including Marquis de Lafayette stopped at the tavern on their way to visit Thomas Jefferson at Monticello. The property was converted to a home in the mid-1800s.
