Welcome to the beautiful Masterman Lake House. This is a beautiful custom built post and beam home situated on Crystal Lake. The home has beautiful mountain view’s, 3 private bedrooms, 2 baths, a finished, carpeted basement/bedroom with gas fireplace, 3 queen beds, bunk beds, a couch and TV. The house also has a sleeping loft, with 2 queen beds, accessed by a library ladder. Enjoy our kayaks, paddle boards, swimming, skiing, hiking, biking and more. Sorry, we do not allow guests to bring a boat. The space This spectacular post and beam, super insulated home was built in 2013, and is right on the sandy clearwater shore of Crystal Lake, this home has beautiful Mountain View’s, and is an incredible opportunity for a family summer vacation, a fall getaway or a ski weekend. There is a gourmet kitchen with soapstone counters, and two luxurious stone walk-in showers with rain shower heads. The home has 3 bedrooms with ceiling fans, a large basement family room with three fold down queen futon beds. There’s also a sleeping loft with 2 queens, accessible via a rolling library ladder, and another fold down queen in the 2nd floor alcove. The home can be heated with wood or gas during your stay. There is a general store within walking distance, and Alton Bay is just a 15 minute drive. Gunstock Mountain Ski area is a 25 minute drive, where they have night skiing, tubing, X country trails and more winter fun. There’s also zip line in and mountain bilking in summer. We have 4 kayaks and 2 paddle boards and many floats for you to enjoy the lake. (with an array of life jacket sizes) There is a brand new play structure, a ball field and basketball courts at the park within three minutes walk. There are lots of great hiking trails nearby. Weir’s beach drive in and many more attractions are less than 30 minutes away. We provide a local guide to shopping and restaurants at the house. Guest access You’ll have access to all but the motor boat in summer. Only the driveway and front walk are shoveled in winter. There is a storage and shop area in the basement, guests are not allowed in this space. Other things to note Please understand that this is not a rental property, it is our family’s second home that we share at times. It can not be a party house or a place for any large gatherings. We request that everyone give an accurate count of all expected guests, and we cap it at ten out of respect for our neighbors. We also need to account for all bedding and other cleaning accordingly. Life jackets must be worn when using the kayaks or paddle boards by 16 and under, and must be “on board” for adults. The Lake patrol will issue fines if they catch you without. There is a fire pit area in the yard, but all fires must be attended at all times, and must be fully extinguished before turning in! Please bring your own firewood. We ask that all guests respect our home, and that you leave the place just as is was when you arrived, at the end of your stay.
