Traditional Transylvanian House
Traditional Transylvanian house made of oak beams with beautifully restored interior at the first floor (living room and kitchen) and modern facilities at the second and third floor (dormitories and library). The space We have moved the house from Maramures area, dismantling it beam by beam and reassembling it on our property in Apuseni (Sunset) Mountains. The interior at the first floor was restored by traditional craftsman in a clay look like with pieces of straws (that cow is licking in the barn) inserted visibly in the walls. We have restored our self various pieces of furniture that we have saved from being trow on fire. Guest access All the house is accessible; but no the technical annexed buildings; acces with the car toward the property is on a 150 m of unpaved road; the final piece of road, the steepest, was arranged with concrete in order to make access easier. Other things to note The water is limited but it should be enough if there is no waste; there is a reservoir with 3 tons of drinking water under the building which is refueled each 4 day by a tractor that carry the water. There are 3 bathrooms with sink and toilet; one of the bathrooms have also a shower.
