Browse the book of local attractions, maps, and menus and discuss options for great local adventures with your host, a wildlife biologist, artist, musician, dance and Tai Chi instructor, and Interior Designer. Take a local boat tour of the spectacular Kenai Fjords National Park, go sea kayaking, hike a glacier or forest, go dog sledding, visit Exit Glacier or fish for silver salmon or halibut. Browse local galleries, shops, and museums. After your host sets up your adventures for you, you can walk to almost anything you decide to do. Hike the famous Mount Marathon, and see a beautiful rainforest, a gorgeous alpine bowl, while looking for birds, moose, bears, or mountain goats. The trailhead is a few blocks away. Or stroll along the pathway along Resurrection Bay a few blocks away and look for sea lions, otters, whales, and birds en route to downtown or the small boat harbor. Enjoy an amazing view of oceans, mountains, and glaciers. Have a fantastic day filled with amazing scenery, wildlife, and local hospitality and color. When you return, your host provides great recommendations for local restaurants for dinner. Do a little private shopping and view the one-of-a-kind stained glass art and jewelry made on-site. Try on anything you like. Exploreyour creative side and take a private lesson in American Tribal Style or Persian Dance, learn how to play drums or do Tai Chi. Take an evening stroll along the waterfront or enjoy one of the colorful establishments for a beer or some music. Watch the cruise ship turn around right in front of the house. Or relax and enjoy free wireless internet, TV, and the library of Alaskan movies and books provided in your room. Kick back; watch a movie with hot chocolate and some popcorn. Have a restful sleep in your antique bed, and dream about your next adventure. The room has an antique double bed and is great for a single person or couple. A cot is available if needed. It also contains a small refrigerator and microwave. Laundry service is available for a fee. The bath contains a shower and bathtub. Arctic Paradise B&B has been in business since 2001.
