Near Kaštel Sućurac you can see, for example: Kozjak - The most beautiful viewpoint of Kaštela. Kozjak is a mountain with two entirely different faces. From the littoral side, it acts as a mighty rock barrier towering above the Bay of Kaštela, while on the inland side, it is a winding highland ending with a sharp edge sloping towards the sea. The very edge of this highland, of an average height of 600-700 m, accommodates the highest tops of Kozjak. Their sequence begins from the saddle Malačka and stretches some 16 kilometres further to the ridge Markezina Greda close to Klis. Split - This is the second largest city in Croatia, and an urban and cultural centre at the crossroads of Dalmatia. It straddles a peninsula at the foot of the Marjan hill, with the Kozjak and Mosor mountains ascending behind the city and waterfront. This increasingly popular tourist destination had its ‘official’ beginning in the year 300AD. In that year the Emperor Diocletian began the construction of his palace here, which combined the elements of an imperial villa, a Hellenistic city and a Roman military fort. However, there are archaeological findings attesting to a more ancient history of Split. The historical centre was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1979, and the number of annual tourists is steadily increasing. In the former home of Diocletian, you cannot miss the well-known Peristyle, nor the Cathedral of St Duje with its wooden doors fashioned by Andrija Buvina. Krka Waterfalls - The largest part of this amazing river’s course is the national park, which in addition to its natural phenomena abounds with cultural and historical monuments. The main attraction of Krka National Park lies in its seven waterfalls. The widest of these is Roški slap, although Skradinski buk is the biggest and most well known. National park Plitvice lakes - The beauty of Plitvice and its unsurpassable attractiveness are a result of gypsum and gypsum-depositing plants. Creation of gypsum and rearrangement of the river bed created a string of 16 Plitvice Lakes representing a magnificent natural architectural phenomenon, surrounded by thick forests inhabited by bears, wolves and many other rare animal and plant
