Villa La Conchiglia is a welcoming vacation rental of 100 squares meters in the Upper Positano, in the suburb "Chiesa Nuova". It is accessible going down approximately 95 steps from the main street "Via Guglielmo Marconi" or SS-163. The staircase is public and it is the only access to the house. The property is located right under the town hall. The Positano Big Beach is twenty minutes within walking distance and ten minutes by the local bus. You can have also access going up throughout the same public walkway, but from the bottom level. It consists in two floors, a living room, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen, two terraces. The villa is paved with the handmade majolica tiles, characteristic of the Amalfi Coast. The living room is at the bottom floor and it features a sofa. Here you will find a cooking area equipped with a gas cooker, an electric oven, a microwave oven, a dishwasher, a refrigerator with freezer and a Italian coffee-maker. In this room you will find a dining table for six guests, satellite TV and air conditioning unit. The first bedroom is accessible from the corridor; it has a double bed equipped with air conditioning/heating units, a bathroom with a shower and balcony with sea view. The second bedroom is located always on the bottom floor and it is equipped with a double bed, an en suite bathroom with shower and a portable air cooler. The third bedroom on the bottom floor, includes a double bed and an en-suite bathroom equipped with a shower, a air conditioning unit. The room has a window that opens into the public staircase. Please note that central air conditioning units are in the living area, in the bedroom with the balcony and in the bedroom with the window. In the bedroom with no window or balcony there is not any air conditioning unit, but a portable air cooler. The first terrace of 15 square meters offers a view of Positano Coastline and it is equipped with all the comforts for staying outside, like table, chairs, deck chairs. The second terrace is 80 square meters large and it is accessible through a staircase, that goes upstairs internally. It has table, chairs, deck chairs, sun umbrella. Here you will find a washing machine. Guest access Squished into a ravine, with narrow alleys, that cascade down to the beach, this part of Positano is very attractive. Other things to note Nearby the property you can easly get to Fornillo Beach; this is where locals go to escape some of the tourist crowds. Positano "Spiaggia Grande" is reachable by steps in 20 minutes or by bus in less than 10 minutes. On the way to the Big Beach you will pass throughout " Piazza dei Mulini", the lower stop for the local shuttle bus. It would be preferable to indicate your arrival time and travel details in advance to make checkin easier and smoother. Visitor’ s tax Everyone who spends one or more nights in the accomodation facilities in Positano pays a visitor' s tax. The visitor' s tax is paid to the owner or manager of the accomodation facility. The tax is € 2,50 per person per night. The visitor tax has taken effect from 1 April 2018. The application of the tax, the proceeds of which will mainly be used to cover the costs of maintenance and management of the ancient Villa Romana of the town, will be limited to a period of six months per year, specifically between 1 April and 31 October.
