Nestled in a beautiful aspen grove on >2 acres with easy year round access in the mountains of Red Feather Lakes, CO! You'll love our peaceful haven because of the wildlife, seclusion, tranquil vibe, + hiking out the door to miles of trails, fishing opportunities 5-10 min away! Good for solo travelers, couples, families, groups of friends! 1/2 mile to Beaver Meadows, 10 min drive from RFL, 1 hr from Ft Collins. LARIMER COUNTY VACATION HOME RENTAL approval number 21-ZONE3157 The space Black Bear Hollow is a peaceful & romantic oasis nestled in a gorgeous aspen grove & Forest of tall pines, spruce & wildflowers. Includes Wifi, smart tv. Pet friendly-2 dogs max--pet fee is $30 per dog, per night. *Dogs must be under fifty pounds and must be approved by owners.* Elevation is 8572 feet high! *3 queens, 3 bedrooms (2 queens and 1 queen sofa sleeper). If guests are okay with limited privacy, in the living room/common area there is a queen air mattress, leather couch & loveseat. *Fishing~We are 1/2 mile from the N. Fork of the Cache la Poudre River, about 10 min to 7 public lakes where fishing is FREE, and access to an additional 4 private lakes in Crystal Lakes. Scroll to bottom for daily guest fishing passes info for private lakes. *Year round availability~This retreat has something for every season. The changing aspen leaves are brilliant, wildflowers are abundant, the sunrises and sunsets are spectacular! It's common to see lots of wildlife around our retreat so be sure to keep your camera handy! *Relax surrounded by Forest~You may want to just relax, reconnect with nature, & stargaze--view the Milky Way in all it's starry splendor away from city lights in this dark sky community. Many activities to choose from when you feel like adventuring out in every season! *Hiking~The clean, crisp mountain air is always inviting. Short walk out the front door (1/8 mile) to private access of over 20 miles of trails in the Roosevelt National Forest. *Canoeing and kayaking on the nearby public lakes. Please contact owners for info on resources to rent these in the area if needed. Canoeing and kayaking available on all public lakes in the area—not allowed on the private lakes in Crystal Lakes. *More Activities~nearby include bird & wildlife viewing, horseback riding, kayaking, river rafting on the N Fork of the Cache la Poudre River, canoeing, snowshoeing, snow tubing, and cross-country skiing (nearby resort offers horses, snowshoes, snow tubes and cross country skis for rent). Cross country skiing is available right from the property. Weather permitting, you can ski right from the property to our private access to the Forest. Please ask owners for specifics. Also, the Fox Acres golf club is open to the public in Red Feathers where you can golf among gorgeous scenery! *Cell Service~AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Consumer Cellular, & Metro-PCS all typically work well at the house-others work nearby on higher ground. *Wifi~continuous Wifi, high speed internet is provided. *Meals~A nearby resort offers a fantastic restaurant, and there are also great restaurants in Red Feathers. If you prefer, you can prepare your meals in the fully appointed kitchen, or you may choose to stargaze while enjoying the cool mountain air. *Fireplace~wood burning fireplace for use by adult guests. Red feather trading post sells pre-cut wood. We don't provide wood. No cutting wood inside the house. After the meal, snuggle in front of the wood-burning fireplace in the main living area or settle into the cozy den to watch TV, play games. or read . You may want to take a relaxing soak in the oversized oval tub off the master bedroom. This warm & inviting home is furnished with a clever bear motif, and comfy mattresses. ~Disconnect~Recover~Decompress~Reconnect with Nature, Family & Friends~ *Seclusion~in~the~Woods* The majority of your neighbors will be deer, moose, black bears, elk, bobcats, birds, eagles, marmots, wild turkeys, grouse, and much more. You may also see antelope, and mountain goats on the scenic drive up the mountain. *House Details: Spacious and full of light modular home with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths (1 private bath off front bedroom with tub & shower, 2nd full bath with walk in shower), living room *Wood burning fireplace, dishwasher/disposal, microwave, washer/dryer, 2 flat screen TVs, back area surrounded by forest with picnic table with seating benches. *Abundant windows, vaulted ceilings, skylights, propane forced air heat and fireplace. Home is 1082 square feet. *Kitchen essentials~ 7 qt Crock Pot, 24 lb, blender, utensils, pots/pans, cutting boards, colanders, plethora of cooking knives, dishware, bake ware and assorted glasses/cups/mugs are stocked in the kitchen. *Please note no outside fires and no fireworks allowed. *Getting there~Please note the majority of the access road is a well maintained paved county road. *Winter~4 wheel drive or all wheel drive is highly recommended & sometimes necessary November through April. Owners will have driveway plowed if necessary prior to guests arrival. Renter agrees it is their responsibility to maintain the drive for the duration of their stay. Any towing fees and additional plowing fees (after day of arrival) are the responsibility of the guest. The weather can change very quickly on the mountain. Good tires and chains recommended during periods of heavy snowfall. Please check weather forecast, contact us if questions and plan accordingly. Renters agrees to be prepared for hazardous winter conditions. There is a shovel provided at the home. During periods of heavy snow, the HOA does not guarantee plowing of Huron. If private contractor is hired to plow Huron, it is renters responsibility to pay this additional plow fee. * Dog Friendly! Bring your best buddy (or buddies) with you for your vacation! No need to leave Fido behind or arrange for a pet sitter! Please let owners know when booking your stay how many dogs are in your family that will be joining you. * Two dogs max (no exceptions) & must be at least one year old and house trained. Please bring a blanket for your dog to lay on, as they are not allowed on the beds or furniture. Please pick up after your dog. There are additional doggy blankets in the bottom drawer of the dresser in the back bedroom that you can feel free to use. Please never leave your dog in the home unattended unless they are crated. No other animals allowed More Fishing Info: Fishing passes available from the Crystal Lakes Base Camp office (open 9am - 5pm 5 days a week Tues - Sat with exception of holidays). Adult guests (16+) $40; Youth guests (7-15) $20; Age 6 and under free with paying adult. The daily pass is specific to one person for one day. (Limit 3 fish). There are 6 public lakes in the area where fishing is free with CO fishing license. Fee to nearby resort to fish the river only 1/2 mile from the house. *Snow Tubing!~Literally just out the front door and around the bend, you will find 12 snow tube runs with lift at the nearby resort, tubing open Thursday-Sunday! Cross country skiing, hiking and snowshoeing out the front door via our private access to the Forest! Must be at least 25 years of age to rent. *Note: Your safety matters. An exterior security camera is located at the driveway, facing out. The camera does not look into any interior spaces. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house, including 2 acres of forest around the home. Includes private access to the Roosevelt National Forest. Lots of peace and quiet. Other things to note *Must be at least 25 to rent. *Wildlife~Please be aware you are going into wildlife country if you stay at Black Bear Hollow. This is home to a lot of wildlife, including moose, deer, bobcat, elk, eagles, coyotes, marmots, black bears and much more. *Be bear aware May 1~Nov 15 -do not leave any food in your vehicle No trash can be left outside or it will attract wildlife. Lock your vehicles to prevent bear break ins. We’ll give you info for trash removal, and we’ll send you the current code and directions to the trash dumpster for you to tke your trash to upon departure. Fee of 25 dollars additional if we have to remove trash for you (up to 2 bags, 10 dollars each additional bag) *No hunting, shooting or archery allowed on property. *No Rearranging of Furniture. *No Smoking inside or outside the home. *Owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises which includes any damage to any vehicles or trailers, campers, etc. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premises. *Please keep your pets supervised or on a leash for their safety.
