The space Located near Mechanicsburg and Camp Hill (suburbs of Harrisburg), Pennsylvania, the cabin's proximity to US Route 15 and Interstate 83 make it only a two hour drive outside of the District of Columbia area and Baltimore, 30 minutes to Hershey (Chocolatetown, USA and home to HersheyPark), 15 minutes to center city Harrisburg (the Capitol of PA) and 40 minutes to Gettysburg with its infamous Battlefield and outlets. A stay in the Yellow Breeches Cabin offers year-round activities. In the winter, take a 15-minute drive to Roundtop Mountain Resort (formerly Ski Roundtop) and spend the day on skis, snowboards or go tubing, day or night. Or you can drive 20-30 minutes to Hershey, PA and visit Chocolate World, Hershey Park or go shopping at the Outlets of Hershey. Spring, Summer, and Fall are wonderful times to stay at Yellow Breeches Cabin. The tranquil, scenic Yellow Breeches Creek is a perfect spot for kayaking, canoeing, and tubing. Imagine having a cup of coffee on the deck and walking a few steps to the creek to cast your fishing rod or wading in the creek with your dog! The Yellow Breeches Creek is home to many waterfowl including ducks and geese which often float down the creek and graze nearby. You may see an Egret who likes to hang out on the banks to fish! Also, there are often white-tailed deer seen foraging in the front and side yards of the cottage and walking along the wooded banks of the creek. For your furry family members, there is a fenced-in side yard with a shade tree so they can romp and play safely. If they are water-loving dogs, they will love to swim and find rocks in the creek. And located just less than 1 miles away is a dog park and walking trails at Lower Allen Park. If you like to golf, you can almost walk to Liberty Forge, home of an 18 hole golf course as well as a miniature golf course and restaurant. There is a kitchen, stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, and coffee pot and microwave, as well a laundry area with washer & dryer. Each bedroom has a full- bed with comfy pillow-top mattresses. The living room has comfy oversized reclining sofa and chair, perfect for relaxing and watching movies, sports and high def channels on the large 55' flat screen tv. Keeping the cabin cozy and warm is a propane gas fireplace. Verizon FIOS Wifi allows you to work on your laptop! There is a large collection of DVD's and games for entertainment and books for those lazy days.
