This gated, three-bedroom (all with A/C and ceiling fans), property is wonderfully located just minutes from the beaches and restaurants of Uvita. 4x4 AWD required to access the steep entrance. Guests absolutely love the private swimming pool with views of the nearby Pacific Ocean and Cano Island National Park in the distance. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail with the toucans, scarlet macaws and howler monkeys, all sitting at our custom viewing platform. Uvita is home to the world-famous 'Whales Tail' beach formation at Ballena National Park, coffee shops, grocery stores, banks and clinics. The entry level floor has two bedrooms, and full bathroom and free-to-use laundry facilities. One bedroom has two single beds and the other bedroom has a queen sized bed. As guests go up the stairs and arrive on the second floor, they are welcomed with vaulted ceilings, a spacious open floor plan with a modern kitchen, a TV area with a SmartTV to enjoy Netflix, and a wall of windows to enjoy the ocean views, the nearby jungle and the amazing surroundings. The master bedroom is also upstairs and has a king-size bed with a large en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and dual sinks, providing plenty of space. The swimming pool and outdoor living space is a absolutely fantastic! There are lounge chairs to relax by the pool and a separate eating area/grill area all on the same level as the patio. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail with the sounds of toucans, scarlet macaws and howler monkeys. Guest access The entire home is at your service with the exception of the garage. Other things to note Uvita is one of the Central Pacific's best kept secrets. The beaches are beautiful, the hills are lush, wildlife is abundant and its the perfect place to surf, horseback ride or just relax. If you are looking for a beautiful beach destination that is far less developed than Manuel Antonio, Uvita is a fantastic alternative. The highlight is Marino Ballena National Park, featuring the famous sandy "Whale Tail" where migrating humpback whales can be seen just offshore. You can whale watch, dolphin watch or snorkel. There are plenty of other beaches in the area also (Playa Tortuga, Playa Ventanas, Playa Garza - just to name a few). For the more adventurous guests, there are: Zipline adventures ATV Tours Over a dozen waterfalls to visit. Swimming is optional, weather and safety permitting. Horseback riding on the beach (even better during a sunset) Horseback riding to beautiful waterfalls SCUBA diving at Caño Island Volunteer at Reserva Playa Tortuga, looking to save turtle eggs, count wildlife or help in other ways. Night hiking in the jungle Stand up paddle boarding Kayaking in the mangroves Activities for all ages Butterfly gardens Cacao learning experience. Cacao is where chocolate comes from and its importance cannot be ignored in the pre-Columbian world. UNESCO World Heritage site at Finca 6 that has over a dozen pre-Columbian spheres. Scientists still don’t know how they were made and are only recently discovering who made them. Drive to a number of waterfalls with minimal hiking required Deep sea fishing River fishing Wildlife rescue center where sloths, monkeys and exotic birds are rehabilitated Over a dozen beaches to enjoy walks, sunsets or relaxing Uvita also makes a great base for exploring Dominical (12 miles North) which is a fun, funky hippie and counterculturist enclave with great shops, dining, live music, candlelight yoga, spas, bars and beach. The tiny town of Ojochal is 9 miles to the South and is know as one of the best foodie town in Costa Rica. Ojochal also offers easy access to Playa Ventanas, a small and beautiful beach famous for its sea caves. For those who enjoy golfing, the southern pacific’s only golf course, Osa Golf Course, is an easy 25 minute drive south (they have clubs and carts for rent).
