The space Located in the beautiful, high-demand area of Historic Uptown of St Petersburg, the Captain's House is a gorgeous, historic 1913 home strictly adhering to the Pinellas County Guidelines for Florida-licensed, tax-compliant short term rentals of a minimum of 30 days. To maintain an allergen-free environment, we do have a 'no pets please' policy. This luxurious single-story home features a newly-remodeled full kitchen & breakfast bar, a master bedroom with queen bed, en suite bathroom, TV, & private entrance, a second bedroom with queen bed, TV, & private entrance, a second bathroom, and an open dining/living room with a high-end sleeper sofa & a large Smart TV. The laundry room features a washer & dryer, as well as six beach towels and six camping chairs for you to take to the beach! The fully-landscaped, fenced-in backyard features a spacious, elevated deck and a bag toss game set. With on-site parking off the back alley for 3 cars. To maintain this recently-remodeled, sparkling-clean, allergen-free atmosphere, the Captain's House does have a strict 'No-Pets/No Exceptions' policy. Thank you for your understanding. Although we are pet owners ourselves, we feel this is the best way to ensure a clean, safe environment for all of our guests. Unless it is a request for a service animal, we will kindly decline your request to bring a pet. The Captain's House - owned and managed by a 50 Ton Master Sailing Captain - is nautically-themed, emphasizing the boating history of St Petersburg. It also features four fully-functional instruments, with tuners: 2 guitars, a ukulele, and a mandolin. All rentals will have a 48-hour period between guests, with the house aired out, cleaned & sanitized, and left with a completed Cleaning & Sanitizing Checklist. Because the Captain's House is over 100 years old, it does have some unique characteristics, including three narrow and shorter doorways: 1) Between the Forward Bedroom and the Dining Room (1' 9" x 6' 2") 2) Between the Master Bedroom and the Kitchen (1' 11" x 6' 6") 3) Between the Dining Room and the Bathroom (1' 10" x 6' 6") Some guests may find these doorways to be tighter passages. This unique & beautiful 1913 home has been remodeled several times... thus it is important to note that the Back Door is on the Back Deck, and opens into the Laundry Room. Access to the rest of the house is by walking through the Master Bedroom. The Front Bedroom and the Living Room both have their own private doors w/smart locks that open onto the Front Porch. These rooms cannot access the Laundry Room, Back Door, Back Deck, Backyard, or Parking Pad without going through the Master Bedroom. Guest access You will have access to the entire house, yard, and on-site parking area. However, due to noise and fumes, our neighbors ask that you please park diesel vehicles on the street. The side gate between the front yard & back yard, and the garage are not available for guest use.
