You can also walk to the Citadelle and its museums in 15 minutes along the customs path (restaurants on the beach). The main shops (bakery, cheesemonger, butcher, delicatessen, fishmonger, pharmacy, etc.) and restaurants can be reached on foot in 7-8 minutes, in the ‘grand'rue’ (market on Saturday mornings and Tuesday evenings in July and August). It is also possible to reach Gâvres or Lorient by boat (particularly interesting during the Interceltic Festival). Bikes can also be taken on board.
