A haven for outdoor enthusiasts in the celebrated community of Brownsville- live the VT life! Arrive with your partner to explore and unwind, or bring along the kids for family friendly hiking, mountain biking, & tubing. Invite another family to vacation with you, or call up your bffs and stop in at the renowned Butcher & Pantry at the base of the mountain. Cheers! Checkout Ascutney Outdoors to learn more about year-round mountain offerings- there is much to see and do! The space We look forward to welcoming you to our mountain side condo. We have taken pleasure in collecting beautiful, comfortable furnishings and decor that create a unique and comfortable guest experience. The building is one of several located on the side of Mount Ascutney. Our unit is set further back and affords guests a peaceful view up the mountain when looking out the windows of the primary suite. A large, mowed meadow (a great space for frisbee and wiffle ball) lies before the unit just beyond the parking area. The unit is two floors. When you arrive at the front door, there is a mudroom and an interior flight of stairs to the main living level. There, you will find an open concept kitchen, dining, and living space. There is also a primary bedroom suite and half bath on this level. Down a set of stairs, there is a second gathering space. It can work well as a den for games and television and visiting, or as a designated office space. There are two additional bedrooms and a full bathroom on this level. Other things to note Winter. Vermont winters can be harsh, especially on the mountain. Conditions can be very snowy and icy. We encourage winter guests to pack yaktrax or similar grips for their boots. Go slow, be cautious. There are ski-in, ski-out opportunities on the mountain, as well as tubing— condition dependent. Visit Ascutneyoutdoors.org to learn more. Spring. Spring in Vermont is mud season. It is a beautiful time of year to explore the mountain. Ascutney Outdoors is a great resource when planning your hiking and mountain biking (and skiing) adventures. Know that trails can close because of the mud and be sure to pack layers. Evenings and mornings are cold and afternoons can get very warm (even hot). Summer. Vermont is the epitome of summer fun. You can hike, bike, swim, fish, picnic, sightsee etc! Swimming holes abound and Harpoon Brewery is just a 15 minute ride down the road. There, you can sit by the fire or have a go at corn hole as the day draws to a close. Fall. Stunning foliage draws visitors from all over the world to the area. It is a wonderful time of year for hiking and exploring, and the Quechee Gorge (a short drive away) is an exceptional photo op! Be sure to stop by a local farm stand to stock the fridge with yummy food for your stay.
